After what seemed like hours, Aerrow woke up and found himself inside a hut. Aerrow looked around to find Dove tending to him.

Dove: You should be resting.

Aerrow: Bloody hell.....where am I?

Dove: You're in my Grandpapa's home. You stumbled upon our home in a delirious state.

Aerrow: Heh. Thanks for the help, lass. Didn't think there was anything living on this rock.

As Aerrow said that, Dove's grandfather entered the room. Radarr soon scurried into the room and jumped on Aerrow, earning a chuckle from the Irish Pirate.

Aerrow: Good to see you too, mate.

As Aerrow and Radarr were reunited, the grandfather turned to Dove.

Grandfather: I need to speak to our...guest in private.

Dove nods her head at her grandfather as she exits the room. As she closes the door, the grandfather approaches Aerrow.

Aerrow: Your granddaughter is a good lass.

Grandfather: She is. Who are you and what are you doing here?

Aerrow: The name is Captain Aerrow Edwards. I was marooned here after my crew stabbed me in the back.

Grandfather: So you are a Pirate? I am familiar with that life. I am Wren.

Upon hearing that name, Aerrow recognized it.

Aerrow: Wren? You mean the French Pirate who terrorized the West Indies. They called you the...

Wren: Le Fléau de Dieu. Like Attila The Hun in ancient times.

Aerrow: The Scourge of God.

Wren: I was a Pirate who waved the Black Flag proudly. I killed and robbed as I pleased. My crew followed my every order as if they were the word of God.

Aerrow: And what happened?

Wren: The same that happened to you. My crew betrayed me and I lost my ship through a mutiny. The only ones who remained loyal to me was my son and his wife.

Aerrow: And what happened to them?

Wren: The mother died giving birth to Dove. As for my son, he went missing years ago. I never saw him again.

As Wren said that, it didn't take Aerrow long to piece together that the remains of the Pirate he found back at the cave was in fact Wren's son.

Aerrow: I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I found your son. He...he didn't make it. I have his last words.

Aerrow then hands Wren the letter his son wrote before he died. As Wren read the letter, he uttered the last words his son wrote.

Wren: "....dead men tell no tales." I have lost many friends in my life. But losing my son....there are no words to express my grief. I always held out hope that he would return to me. To his daughter. But fate is hardly ever kind.

Aerrow: Does Dove know about who you were?

Wren: No. She was born when my crew mutinied me. She was born right after we were marooned on this island. I helped my son raise her when her mother died. And when my son went missing, I took it upon myself to raise her. She knows nothing of my past and I intend to keep it that way. I trust you will respect my wishes.

Aerrow: Aye. From one Pirate to another. I've been trying to find something to help me build a boat so I can sail off this rock.

Wren: And why do you want to leave so badly?

Aerrow thought about whether to tell Wren about his search for Captain Arygyn's lost treasure. After thinking on it, Aerrow decided that Wren was trustworthy enough for him to reveal the truth.

Aerrow: I'm searching for Captain Arygyn's treasure.

Wren: You mean the treasure that many have sought after only for none to find?

Aerrow: The very same. But I have the means to find it. It was still in my ship when I was betrayed. I need a sturdy boat to help me find it.

Wren: If you want my advice, then I suggest you leave this life while you still can.

Aerrow: And why would I do that?

Wren: For years I've been rushing around, taking whatever I fancied, not giving a tinker's curse for those I hurt. Yet when I turn around, and look at the course I've run...there's not a man or woman that I love left standing beside me. Dove is all that I have left. I have been given a chance that I do not deserve. If you do not wish to be where I am standing, than you will heed my words.

As Wren said this, Aerrow thought about the old Pirate's words. A part of Aerrow considered leaving the Pirate life behind for a peaceful one. However, Aerrow felt he had gone too far to stop now.

Aerrow: I can't. I've gone too far to stop now. All I've ever wanted was freedom. Finding Captain Arygyn's treasure will grant me the freedom I want.

Wren: I cannot force you to alter your course, Captain Edwards. I will help you gather the supplies needed to build a boat. I will take some time. In the meantime, you are welcome to stay as a guest in my home. All that I ask is that you respect my rules and my family.

Aerrow: Aye.

In that moment, Aerrow had found sanctuary with Wren and Dove. Wren would help Aerrow find the means to build a boat so that he may escape the island and continue his search for Captain Arygyn's lost treasure. But this peaceful bliss would not last as fate would intervene.
