You would think that a persons childhood would be happy or full of fun memories. That's what is expected anyways, right? Well, not me. I'm about to tell you a story that you wouldn't believe.

Many years ago when I was maybe
fifteen or sixteen, I lived in a house.
On the outside it was amazing.

At lease 3 floors high and a tractor trailer long and wide. The shudders around the house were a nice rustic red and the roof was a deep, dark blue.

On the inside the entire house was an expanse of wasted space. No paintings, no rugs. Just plain walls and floors.

This was something I thought was normal. My whole life has been full of what you'd call, abnormalities.

Maybe you would say I'm blessed or cursed. Most likely, either way, you would like to know who, or more likely what in the hell I might be talking about.

Well I'll tell you who I am.
I'm a normal girl with a peculiar story.
I know, I know, sounds cliche but that's because it is.

I don't know what I look like because all I see is what no one else can see. I see your soul. Your energy. Your good thoughts and bad thoughts. I can hear the quiver in your voice when you lie. Once you find out who I am, a fear runs through your spine. I can hear the continual urge to try not to think.

I've been told I have beautiful golden eyes. That will change to a blood red when my "specialty" is in the act. Alone with me specialty comes many things people wouldn't understand, well unless you knew the whole story.

Speaking of, this all started when I was about 5. Me and my parents lived in a typical farm town, an everybody-knows-everybody type of place.

Suddenly one day, of course on a stormy night, something happened.

We lived just outside of the main part of town and our little farm house was built up on the top of a hill- I know, it gets even more typical.
During that storm the clouds circled our small little house with lightning striking all around us.

All of us were in the living room doing our best to ignore the storm. Our mediocre cable had been blown out hours ago, so we decided that we should all spend the night in the living room. It was hard but soon enough we were all dead asleep but that didn't stop the storm from raging on.

At one point I woke up and decided to look outside at the apocalyptic state my surroundings were in. When I looked up into the sky I saw tornadoes and lightning flashing all about before my eyes. I don't know what then comes over me.

It was like a voice was commanding me to do as I was told, so I did. Later I would realize the beautiful but chaotic sight would be one of my last.

I turned around and walked towards the door and opened it. The screeching of the weather outside made my parents bolt awake. By the time they realized what was happening, I was already walking away towards the on going storms center.

Lightning striking every second, the roar of thunder at a constant, the wind raging with an unknown force, and I was standing right in the center of it.
