Jacey messed with her hands as she looked at what to wear for her date. Peter was standing on her bed as he looked at the outfits.
"How about this?" he asked as he held a red top and white jean shorts and a pair of black boots. Jacey looked at the outfit.
"Yep," she decided. Peter rushed out, so Jacey could get changed. She walked over to the boys' dorm. "So, how do I look?"
"Like Cinderella," Peter said.
"Before the Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo," James muttered. Jacey threw a shoe at James. "I'm not going back on that statement."
"Where you goin' all nice?" Remus asked. He put down his book.
"Yeah, I remember James saying something but I wasn't listening," Sirius said. James threw his pillow at him.
"I've got a date with Marlene," Jacey answered. Remus stayed quiet and nodded and picked his book back up. She frowned at how he was. "Adiós, amigos míos."
She walked over to Marlene's dorm, and Lily answered. "You're here for Marlene, right?" Lily asked.
No, I was here for Mary, she thought sarcastically. Don't get Jacey wrong, she could make good friends with girls, but Lily Evans was a bit difficult for her.
"Yeah," Jacey replied.
Marlene then came to the door. She had a white blouse with denim high-waisted jeans and black boots. "Hey, Jacey, I guess we should get going now."
"Yeah." They both started walking to the astronomy tower since that was where Jacey had set the date.
"So where are we going?" Marlene asked.
"That's a secret."
"Oh, Jacey Potter, a woman with secrets." She had no idea. Marlene put a hand on her arm. "Please tell me, though. I can't take it."
Jacey smirked. "Not yet. Vale, here we are. Just close your eyes for a second." Jacey took her hand and led Marlene to the tower. There was a picnic blanket and basket right underneath the stars. "Here."
Marlene opened her eyes. She smiled when she saw the sight. "It looks wonderful." They both sat down. Jacey looked at the stars. "Can you name any?"
"A few." She pointed at the brightest one. "That's Sirius. My brother, Sirius had me memorize where it was." She pointed at another. "That's Lyra." Jacey pointed at another. "And that's Aries."
"Well, I can name Hercules." Jacey laughed. They both began eating the snacks that Jacey brought and talked about anything.
Her eyes wandered and Jacey could've sworn she saw a cat.
Jacey walked Marlene back to their dorm. "Tonight was pretty great," Marlene said. "I'd love to have a second date."
"Me too." Jacey gave Marlene a kiss on the cheek before going to her dorm.
Jacey walked back to her dorm where Peter was in her spinning chair and turned to her. "Did you two kiss? Now I don't want to know everything but enough to tease you about it."
She sat on the bed crisscross and started telling Peter everything that happened. "I really like her, Pete, but what if I mess something up? You know me, I'll Potter it up." Potter it up meant that they were going to mess something up. It all started when James and Jacey were setting up a prank and completely messed it up. James had accidentally made a snare and caught himself due to being too busy arguing with Jacey.
"You won't."
Jacey walked downstairs the next morning and saw the boys already awake. "Mornin' Wolfie, how was your date?" James asked."Good," she replied. "I'm goin' on another soon."
"You are?" Remus asked, not even looking up from his book. His hands seemed to have a stronger grip on the book.
Peter smirked but covered his mouth with his hand. Jacey wondered what that was about. She wasn't a Ravenclaw because she couldn't tell how people felt in situations, but she was book smart. But Pete seemed to be trying to not laugh at something.
"Yeah."
Remus seemed to mumble something like great, just great for you.
Jacey looked at her watch. "Let's head to class already."
Jacey, Sirius, Peter, and James each carried an empty box to transfiguration. Remus looked at them with a confused face.
"What is the exact point of this?" he asked.
"Well, you know how cats follow instinct? One of those is going inside an empty box," Sirius said.
"And we're having' a contest on which box she will go in when she transforms," Peter said.
Remus shook his head and continued walking. The others kept walking with their boxes.
Minnie stared at the four as they brought in their boxes. "Why have you brought these boxes?" she asked. "If I wanted boxes in my classroom, I would have them all over." Jacey and James smirked to each other. "What are you two planning?"
The twins waved their wands and boxes on boxes appeared. "You said you would have them all over if you were to teach," James said with a smile.
"Just sit down," Minnie said defeated. "And new seats." All the Marauders gasped. "Oh, be quiet the lot of you."
They all grumbled and went to find their seats. Jacey was by Mary. Peter was two seats and a row over next to a boy named Frank and was next to Remus. James was by someone named Leo. And Sirius was in the back next to a girl named Lucy.
Everyone put their boxes by their side and waited. Minnie was writing on the board and seemed quite distracted. Jacey smirked in Peter and Remus, direction as she saw Minnie. James tried to keep his laughter when he saw Minnie staring at the boxes around them.
A bit later, Jacey got really bored. She looked around and saw a bored James. This was the perfect time to cause trouble. "Yo, Prongs, take good notes, I don't get half of this!" she yelled half way since that's what she would regularly say this.
"Bold of you to assume that in takin' notes," James yelled back. "Pads, what did you get for number four?" Sirius looked at his notes.
"Nothing," Sirius simply answered.
"Wormy, what'd you get?" Jacey asked. Half of the class began laughing.
"That you must have complete concentration on the object when preforming the switching spell," Peter replied.
"Detention the five of you," Minnie simply said without even turning.
"It's a date, Mins," Jacey smiled.
