Chapter nine

At the end of the day, James and Jacey went to sleep after everyone had already gone to bed. James went to Jacey's room since she liked to have James around her at night after the full moon. For James, it was mandatory to make Jacey feel better after a full moon.

"So, what were those eyes you and Remus were exchanging at breakfast?" James asked. Jacey turned to him. "What you think I forgot about it? I'm your older brother, I never forget."

Jacey thought about what to say. She knew Remus probably didn't want James to know but she remembered how she felt about people knowing. But James was her brother who she never kept secrets from. She decided it wasn't her story to tell.

"Nothing, he was just wondering why I was out yesterday." They got to her dorm. "I wonder if I could smuggle in a mini fridge or something in here?"

"Maybe next year. Make a note to remember that," James said.

The next morning, Jacey woke up and saw her brother sleeping on the ground. "Aw, how sweet. Wake up!" she yelled. James let out a gasp and saw Jacey laughing.

"I hate you, Wolfie. You're the devil's sister."

Jacey and James made the joke of them being devils in disguise all the time. By now, it was another thing as being as they say 'iconic twins.' James got up and headed to his dorm to get changed. It was a day off so for the Marauders, it was a chill/prank day. She changed into a pair of ripped denim blue jeans with a muggle band t-shirt and black converse and her hair up in a messy bun. Jacey ran downstairs and they all headed down to breakfast.

"If we do set something on fire, we have to run. Let's not be stupid," James said as they all sat down. "So, we set Slughorn's classroom on fire, we've got to run because of the chemical reaction to the potions. Think you two." Jacey, Sirius, and Peter were hatching to put Slughorn's classroom on fire, but James was thinking of what could happen to them. He knew he had to take care of them before they get seriously hurt.

"You're right about that part. Are James and I going to always be bailing you three out?" Remus asked as he closed his book. "You guys are going to have months worth of detention if you pull that stunt."

Jacey put her around Remus' shoulder. "We can only get detention if we get caught, my dear friend. Plus if I know how to weasel my way out of things like this, ask James how many times I've gotten us out of being grounded by smartly talking."

James nodded. "She's saved our butts so many times just by talking. This one time, we set off a ding bomba and she talked to our parents about how we're just kids. They bought that crap so easily." Owls then came in. "Ooh, morning post." Jacey the recognized the family bird.

Then letters and a package dropped onto Jacey's eggs. There were two letters, one for James and one for Jacey. "JJ, you've got some mail. Ooh, they're from Tinky." Jacey passed James his and they started reading them.

Dear, mistress Jacey, how are you? Tinky forgot to write yesterday and hopes you can read her writing. How was your full moon? Tinky can go ever there if you need help. In the package is your favorite snacks that you like after full moons. Tinky hopes there's enough, she misses you two deeply. Maybe she can visit you two soon. Or when you and Master James come back, make you all your favorite treats. From, Tinky, your house elf.
