"Okay everyone, take a seat, your teacher will take the attendance, then we'll get moving." Johnson Donald, the bus driver said.

'" Thank you very much sir. Once you hear your name, you will raise your hand and say "present" "' Mr. Anthony, a language teacher said.

"Antonio Marco"
"Present"

"Curtis Junior"
"Present"

"Davidson Mark"
"Present"

[...]

"Miller Jackson"

"Miller Jackson"

"Miller Jackson"

"He's..." Mr. Anthony started saying.

"Present" Jackson said, after forward rolling into the bus, and raising both of his hands.

"That's nothing to be happy about." Junior said to Jackson, seeing as he was smiling.

"What can I say, as a genius, only maths would get you to be happy. At least be happy that I know what 2+2  gives. Do you even know what 9+10 gives?"

Everyone smiled at Jackson's joke, even Mr. Anthony, though he wasted no time in expressing his dissatisfaction for the boy's tardiness.

"Next time, I promise, we're leaving without you."

"Smile, Mr. Anthony, life's no fun when you have high blood pressure." Jackson replied while grinning with all of his teeth for his teacher.

"Listen to your teacher kid, now's not the time for snarky comments." Donald Johnson said to Jackson while putting his sunglasses on.

"Okay, sorry sir!" Jackson replied, bowing to the teacher with hands clasped.

Mr. Anthony caught up with him pretty quickly noting:

"Still not done with the comic relieves? Just go sit down, we have to get going."

"Looks like the only place left for me to sit is besides Mark." Jackson said while walking over to the back of the bus.

"What, no, you're not sitting here, ask someone else, there's no place for you here." Mark said while putting both of his feet together and putting his back on the row's window.

"Listen Mark..." The teacher started, but stopped when Jackson put a hand to tell him to stop.

"I can handle this, easy!" Jackson said while turning to look at the teacher.

"I don't agree, Mr. Anthony." Mark said to the teacher.

"What do you not agree with?" Mr. Anthony asked with a confused face.

"It's probably nothing serious Mr. Anthony, he's probably trying to make me come sit with you." Jackson said.

"At least let him talk." Mr. Anthony replied.

"Don't bother, I already know him." Jackson replied.

"Beggars can't be choosers, Mr. Anthony." Mark yelled in the background.

"But the difference is, you're begging me to be better than you. Not everyone gets the privilege to sit with a teacher. So in this case, beggars can't be choosers, but choosers can be losers." Jackson said while marking his final words with a grimace on his face.

"Did you just call me a loser? Do that again and you're getting punched." Mark exclaimed angrily.

"No thanks, I'm not a gorilla, unlike you. Gorillas love to fight, and either way, it takes two to fight, so you're alone in this. Double loser." Jackson replied, giving Mark his back.
