Didn't think I'd ever be in this position again.Hell, I thought this was all over almost 3 years ago, but guess the fuck what it's not.
I barely remembered it, but it was the start of everything. The Basset's. Remember him, the old French man who killed his own wife and held women hostage back at his home in Paris. Yeah, well I scouted out Zeke to go and kill the bastard.
Turns out, Zeke couldn't do one job that didn't prove his disloyalty as Basset is still alive, meeting my papa, Rocco and I today at Rossi Industries headquarters.
How fucking fantastic.
Rocco was driving us, while he cursed loudly. It was a good deal that rode heavily on his death, I mean they were still making profit from his company, but now that Basset has actually read the contract and decided it was time to renew it, I wanted to kill him.
I haven't got time for this. Hell, none of us have time for this shit.
If no one had noticed we are too busy finding a Russian, his traitorous wife and their bastard son.
We arrived at the headquarters, as usual whenever we made our way through the lobby, everyones eyes went to us. Many were clearly shocked to see me, I couldn't blame them of course, but the stares weren't appreciated. Rocco's assistant made his way over to us.
"Good morning sirs, ma'am. I have set up conference room one for you this morning. Mr. Villin is waiting for you." He says, handing over a file to Rocco. I stop in the middle of the elevator doors.
"I'm sorry. Did you say Mr. Villin?" My voice raised a few octaves, His assistant, whose name I was particularly aware of, gulped loudly looking to Rocco and papa.
"I thought s-sirs were aware of w-w-who you were meeting?" He questioned, his voice was meek and low, almost a whisper. Why was he scared of me, I wasn't exactly an authority figure around here.
I look at my father with my brow quirked, my hands on my hips, papa looks away before smiling to me softly. "Tesoro we were going to tell you-"
"Hold up. You willing brought me into this meeting with him, for what reason?" I step into the elevator, letting the doors close behind me.
These bastards tricked me.
I was fuming, I didn't want to go in there, hell I didn't even want to be here today. Miles had let up on the protectiveness over the last couple fo weeks since King's execution. He promised me quite the morning that I couldn't resist that was until my papa called, I wasn't prepared for a repeat of the last time. Plus, telling my entire family that I had a miscarriage was painful enough, despite them being sweet and supportive. I just wasn't ready to see them.
Rocco sighed. "We couldn't tell you piccolo you wouldn't have agreed."
"Of course I wouldn't, even if it was Basset. So why am I here?"
"You mentioned that King didn't tell Villin something before they signed their alliance, maybe we could use that today." Rocco suggested, my eyes widened with realisation.
"So you are using me to provoke him." Papa nods solemnly. "Have mercy. Don't blame me if I kill him." Rocco chuckles at me.
We reach the top floor, I walk as slow as I could, blaming my heels for 'hurting my feet', I let Rocco and papa walk ahead, this was their problem so they can take the lead. I had scowl permanently across my face.
I was pissed.
I should've just ignored the call this morning.
Although I doubt that would have done anything.
