Alex Morgan is the most competitive person you have ever met, but that didn't stop you from falling in love with her.

You two have been dating for almost 2 years, and have never been more in love with one another. However when Charlie came into the picture and started hanging out with you more than her actual mom, Alex couldn't help but feel a little bit jealous. She was Charlie's mom for heavens sake!

So being the competitive person she is Alex decided to hold a secret competition between you and her for Charlies favouritism. 

It started out small, while you and Charlie were watching life in the dream house laughing and singing together Alex devised a plan to create the best day Charlie could ever ask for. Making her the the favourite.

Alex's Prov

"Charlie, wake up angel." I cooed at my peacefully sleeping daughter, only to be answered by my girlfriend Y/n

"No, to early babe." Y/n whined back pulling Charlie closer to her chest.

I sighed before telling telling the two most important people in her life what awaited them if they awoke.

"I made pancakes."

With those simple three words Y/n woke with a start, almost dropping Charlie as she scrambled to get up. Thankfully she caught Charlie, later Y/n will brag to me about her "super fast reflexes".

After a couple minutes of getting ready Y/n and Charlie bounded down stairs to the kitchen where I awaited them with a beautiful breakfast. Pancakes, Charlie's favourite fruit, orange and apple juice and chocolate chips muffins. 

Eagerly Charlie and Y/n sat down and immediately served themselves, Y/n having to help Charlie of course. So far everything was going great until Charlie bit into one of her pancakes and immediately spat it out coughing. 

Instantly Y/n and I were by her side, frantically asking if she was okay and patting her back. After she calmed down and stopped coughing she told us that "The pancakes taste weird"

I was confused I watched a YouTube tutorial on how to make pancakes so they should've been good.

I watched Y/n slowly walk back to her plate and take a bite of her pancake, and just like Charlie she immediately spat it out as well.

"Babe, did you cook these?" Y/n asked me

"Yes, I did." I replied confused and a bit scared

"Did you try them?" 

"...No"

"Babe" Y/n tried not to laugh and look serious "These aren't cooked"

I was horrified, already this plan was crashing.

Y/n just shook it off, kissed my cheek and gave Charlie on of her muffins. After Y/n put the pancakes in the trash since they were unfortunately inedible.

Right, next on the list the waterpark. I told my girlfriend and Charlie to get ready and put on swimsuits. While they were doing that I made sure to pack lots of food, water, hats and towels.

While we were driving there we sang Taylor Swift, Hailee Stienfeld, BTS and a bunch of Charlie's favourite.

When we got there Charlie tugged on my sleeve begging to go into the water. A couple hours later it got quite hot so I went to go get ice cream.
