Two weeks after the young stars' death, the team held a funeral.
After multiple songs and speeches, Kristie got up to tell the world Y/n's secret.

"I think she's happy."
Kristie spoke, staring at the light brown podium. "You see, Y/n wanted to die. Not because she was depressed or thought the world would be better off without her, but because she was scared. She was scared she was going to disappear. Be forgotten. That's why she wanted to die young."

Sam stared at her sister in curiosity as she continued.
"I guess she thought that if she grew old, people would forget about her." Kristie looked up at the ceiling.
"I won't forget you, Y/n."

"I regret a lot of things." Lindsey finally spoke up, "Like telling her I knew how she felt. You see, she didn't want to be a soccer player, and she wanted to become an artist, to display her artwork in a gallery." Rose smiled, remembering Y/n trying to teach her to draw an actual person instead of a stick person.
Where the time is frozen
"But I wanted to be a soccer player so badly." Lindsey smiled through her shining eyes, "Except I didn't have the talent that Y/n had, so when she was scouted, she asked if I could come as well. He agreed, but she had to come for me to play as well." A tear raced down Lindsey's cheek as she continued.
Where all the universe is open
"Y/n gave up her dream to become an artist so I could pursue mine."

"Two years ago," Alex started, choking up, "Y/n turned 21 and had her debut on the same day. I was so proud of her. She may not have scored a goal, but she still managed to trip, faceplant the turf, and distract the goalie enough for me to score."
Everyone laughed through the tears, remembering you spitting out the dirt while looking so proud.
And we could wear the same crown.
Kelley smiled through her tears as she remembered your duality off the pitch and on. How coordinated you were on the pitch, but off, well, that was another story.

"She could do a bicycle kick on the field but couldn't even walk up the stairs properly." Kelley chuckled, looking at your coffin.

"She used to ice skate, so I don't know she survived being uncoordinated as she was." Kelley teased.
"I guess I'm just surprised she died the way she did and not falling into a pit of chemicals instead."

"Y/n, the stars would die sooner than us forgetting you," Rose spoke softly as your grave was placed on the overturned dirt, closing of you and your body forever.
