Alyssa x Reader?

Y/n prov

National camp has been a blast, I met awesome new friends, have lit teamates and a secret book giver.

It all started when in the second week on camp when I was talking to Chris about a new book I wanted. Then Sonnet instantly calling me a nerd, resulting in a slap in the back of her head by Chris.

The next day the book I wanted appeared by my hotel door. At first I was confused because only Sonnet and Christen were in the room with me when we were talking, so if that was the case then who gave me the book?

I decided to investigate and started with asking Christen about it.

"Hey Chris, did you get me the book that I was telling you about?" I asked her.

"No," She replied puzzled "Why? Did you get it?"

"Yeah, someone gave it to me outside my hotel door."

"Ooh! Looks like you got an admirer." Sonnett piped in making kissing faces.

"Stopp." I whined laughing.

Even through I knew she was teasing I couldn't help but wonder if I did.

I knew Sonnet couldn't have given it to me since she was dating Lindsey and Chris had it bad for Tobin, so who else could have known?

Then I briefly remembered Alyssa had briefly gone into the room to ask Chris if she wanted to do crosswords with her.

Alyssa, it had to be her. To test my theory I went out to get a crossword book I knew she was eyeing one day at the mall. Her hotel room was just a door down mine so at around 12 o'clock I placed it outside her door.

The next day I saw her with a smile on her face doing the new crossword book I gave her. We locked eyes and she looked down with a small smile and blushed.

All through camp we put book, goodies and other small things like pens at the foot of each other's door.

One day I walked out of my room and the was my favourite book City of Glass by Cassandra Clare. There was already a bookmark inside so I opened up it up to a certain chapter, I didn't bother reading the name of it and instead prompted to read the highlighted words.

"There is no pretending," Jace said with absolute clarity. "I love you, and I will love you until I die, and if there is life after that, I'll love you then."

under it was a sticky note that said "Will you go out with me?"

I grinned and immediately went to the book store to look for the perfect reply.

When I found the perfect book I put a flower at a bookmark, highlighted the words I needed, and placed the book underneath her door.

The bookmark was placed at the very end of 'I Capture the Castle' by Dodie Smith.

"Only the margin left to write on now. I love you, I love you, I love you.

The sticky note of course read "YES"
