hiii! can i request danielle van de donk x reader (platonic) where daan is like a mentor to R and they're super close but then daan has to move to lyon and R gets really sad. thanks :)

First time I'm doing a platonic one, so lets go.

As an up and coming soccer star It was only reasonable that I would need a team mom, a mentor, a best friend. That space was taken by the one and only, Danielle Van De Donk.

She is the sweetest most smallest person I had ever seen. However once angered ... like Hope Solo you better watch your back.

Daan is kinda like a chihuahua if you think about it. Small, territorial, and full of anger.

When I first arrived at Arsenal and was doing my first training session I had tripped over a rock on the field while walking backwoods to try to take in the fact that I was actually here and training with some of the BIGGEST names in women's soccer. The next thing I knew was that I was on my back and a small girl was standing over me smiling with her hand sticking out.

"You okay rookie?" The girl asked smiling

"Yeah, fine." I replied sheepishly as I took her hand and stood up.

"I'm Danielle Van De Donk," Daan grinned at me shaking my hand "It's a pleasure to meet you."

She dusted me off and helped me through training and made sure that I didn't trip over anything.

Ever since that fateful encounter she became my mentor. She made sure my kit was clean, I ate breakfast, I stretched properly and that I was happy. If I was ever sad she would immediately hug me, buy my favourite foods and watch a movie with me. Daan became everything to me and I was content as long as she was at Arsenal.

"Daan!" I yelled jumping on her back, scaring her.

Daan laughed as I helped her up.

"Hello little one,"

"Little one?' I scoffed "You're one to talk."

She faked hurt but couldn't help but grin at my goofiness.

All of a sudden she turned around and left on me, hugging me so tightly. Almost like she thought I was going to disappear any second.

"I moving."

"Okay, where? Closer to the gym, you do live kinda far away" I asked still not understanding "I can help you look for houses, if you want?" I offered.

"No, kleintje" She hurried her head in my neck "I'm moving clubs, I signed a contract for Lyon."

With that my whole world crashed down. My best friend was moving, actually moving. Not just down the street, or up a neighbourhood. Moving ... to a different country. I couldn't believe it.

"When?" I asked her looking down so she couldn't see my red eyes.

"Next season." She answered. I looked up when I heard her voice break, not understanding why she was crying when she had made the decision to leave.

"Oh."

~~~
It was your second season with Arsenal but not even Lisa's cheery demeanour and Leah's roast directed at Jordan could put a smile on your face.
Your mentor was gone, and you missed her like crazy. You missed the late night talks of her teasing you on your crush on Anna Patten, the movie nights you two would have whoever you were sad, her teasing you on your clumsiness and Daan trying teaching you dutch. Most of all you missed her calling you little, even though you were, in fact, taller than her.
Pretty much everyone was.
My teammates could tell I was in the dumps and tried their best to get you back to your cheery demeanour. Nothing helped not even Beth's scones.
The only thing on my mind was the Tiny Terror I missed so much.
~~~

After numerous attempts of Jordan not even trying to act stupid she gave much to the chagrin of Leah, when Lia suggested I called Daan.

"It will make you feel better."

"Yeah, I bet she misses you too." Caitlen agreed

"Besides when was the last time you talked to her" Viv pointed out

I groaned in disagreement but in my heart I knew I had to.

~~~
She picked up the phone before it even started ringing.
"Kleintje" I heard her say breathlessly
"Hey." I replied in the same tone. "Hows Lyon?"
"Good," She sighed and waited a few moments before adding "I miss you."
"I miss you too Terror." I admitted.
"Hows your French?" She asked suddenly
"Um," I laughed I knew she knew I was fluent in French "Pretty good DVD, how your Dutch?"
With that comment I heard her laugh. I forgot how good it was to hear her laugh.
"Pretty good," I could almost hear her smiling "Can you teach me French?"
"Sûr que ma petite terreur." I replied knowing she wouldn't understand me, but saying it anyways.
"What?"
"Sure my tiny terror."
"Oh." I chuckled.
"Stopppp," She whined
"Stop what?" I laughed.
"Laughing at me." At thins point I knew she was pouting.
"Okay, okay." I tried to compose myself.
We stayed silent for a moment enjoying each others voice when she began talking.
"I really do missed you kleintje, I miss your clumsiness, hearing about how amazing Anna is, calling you small. I miss you," She admitted quietly "To be honest I wanted to call you for so long, but I was scared you were mad at me for switching clubs."
"I could never be mad at you D." I sighed "Anna pranked Lisa again, so that was pretty cute." I added quietly.
"Still ship it." She chuckled lightly. "If you want," She paused "You are welcome to visit me in France."
"Does this mean I can still help you pick out a house?"
