33 | The Bearer of Pisces

When I saw the yellow stone, I can feel a strong pulling force coming from it. 

My heart's beating fast for an unknown reason, and I am having a hard time breathing. My head is now aching too. What is wrong with me? 

"Are you alright?" Obelus asked and led my head on his shoulders.

"No, I can't breathe properly."

"Ash? What's happening?" Ali asked as soon as she got inside the car.

"AAAAAAH!" I screamed my lungs out when she came near me. An unbearable pain was radiating through my whole body, like my soul was about to be removed from me. 

I can't stop from screaming because the pain is worsening, every second. 

Tears are streaming down my eyes. It's only endless pain that I am feeling.

Someone placed something on my hand. A bright yellow light bursts through the surrounding as my consciousness slowly fades.

Someone, help me stop this pain.

I woke up in a flower bed, in a familiar garden. This garden was filled with fresh air, a relaxing surrounding, and a calm aura.

The flowers were glistening with the touch of the warm sunlight. The sound of the fresh water falling continuously from the falls is calming and is like an enchanting melody for me.

Everything in this place screams magic.

I stood up and searched for the mermaid, Maia. She was not sitting on the big clam which was opened widely. The clam, unlike any other clam, is made up of gold. There's a white cushion inside it and the outline was decorated with pearls which shines and sparkles whenever it comes in contact with light.

"Maia?"

I walked near the body of water. There, I saw fishes of different species playing with each other. However beautiful these fishes are, they were left out by that one fish which is standing out among any of them. It was Maia's fish form.

"Found you."

Maia transformed to her mermaid appearance a few seconds later. Her scales were like the color of her scales in her fish form. It was a mixture of gold, white, gray, and black. She looks like an expensive mermaid because of that.

She swam gracefully towards the clam and sat there after.

"So you're awake now, Ashlyn," she said using her angelic voice. She was not singing but I can hear a lovely song coming out of her mouth. Her voice is like a soothing melody, it was enchanting.

"Why am I here, Maia?" I asked calmly. 

"I thought you had questions about your body's changes? You're here to get the answers you need and for one important thing too."

"Spill."

"You and your friends were correct, those stone fragments are part of the adderstone. After giving it to the first generation of bearers, the adderstone was destined to be broken into pieces. That is the only way they can get the power from us, the Zodiac Personas. However, after the first war, the pieces of the adderstone were scattered on the different parts of the Philippines. It was Evanorra's task to collect them, but the adderstone was not reacting to her presence anymore. It was in your generation that the pieces were reacting and being active again. This was also the reason why no one can find the pieces and Evanorra herself," she explained.
