They spent the rest of the day screwing around, completely ignoring the training schedule. Tanjiro watched them from afar as they played rock paper scissors. "Rock paper scissors shoot!" he threw out scissors while Gon put rock. "Damn it!" Gon giggled and bonked Killua on the head. "that's my 5th win!" he stuck his tongue out. "Baaka~" the sun was starting to set so he kept alert, just in case. "Ne Killua?" he glanced over at Gon, who was hanging by his legs from a tree. "yeah?" he swung upwards and landed on the branch, swinging his legs. "we haven't seen anyone except for Zenitsu, Insouke, and Tanjiro for a couple weeks " he shrugged. "so? It's nice" and it was. "but what about Kurapika? Or Leorio?" he bit his lip. "I'm pretty sure Alluka would have told them what happened, she was there" Gon frowned slightly. "but, then wouldn't have they come to find us already?" that was a very good point. "maybe their waiting to see if we come back first, so they don't have to rely on Nanika"

Gon nodded, "yeah, your right" he beamed at him. "your always so smart!" he looked away with a blush. "stop embarrassing me Baka" Gon giggled and suddenly grabbed his hand, which made his heart thump a little harder. "G-Gon what the hell!" he snickered and wrapped him in a hug. "your adorable when your flustered" that only made him blush more. "H-Hey! Get off!" he struggled for a few moments before sighing. "please?" Gon let go with a pout. "why don't you like hugs" because when you hug me I want to fucking kiss you so bad. Damn you for being adorable. "oh that's right, I'm your only friend and you're not used to affection" he huffed. Gon was right, he was so unaccustomed to affection that he had to look it up. "Hey guys, night's falling" Tanjiro shouted from the doorway. Gon grabbed his hand and dragged him inside, which he only slightly protested to.

When Tanjiro shut the door behind them, Gon bounced into his bedroom area and landed on the bed. Killua went to Nezuko's room, it had the desk and the paper. Tanjiro was there and Nezuko was giving him a hug. I miss Alluka. Nezuko noticed him and went over to give him a hug too. He managed to smile a little, patting her head a bit. "time for bed Nezuko" Tanjiro said, and she let go. She made sure to ruffled his hair a little before going back to her box. He sighed, then left. As soon as he walked into Gon's room he paused. Gon was sitting upright on the bed and looking at him with a calculated expression. "need something?" he frowned slightly. "why do you always sleep on the floor?" he sighed, "there aren't enough beds" Gon patted the bed. "come sleep with me!" those words made him yelp and Gon blinked at him. "huh?" he pushed down his blush and shifted a little. "w-why?"

Gon smiled at him. "because it's better to sleep on a bed! Didn't we used to do that all the time?" Killua huffed, "first of all, I'm fine on the floor" he bit his lip. "and second, that bed was like three times bigger" Gon shrugged, "so?" he didn't know why he felt this way about it, Gon was right. And the beds were only 2 times bigger, but... Gon stood up and crossed his arms. "if you won't sleep with me on the bed, I'll have to sleep on the floor" Killua groaned, "why do you have to be impossible? I'm fine with the floor!" they argued for a few minutes before Zenitsu opened the door with a small scowl. "can you two be quiet? I'm trying to sleep!" Gon smirked and grabbed his hand. "great, we will resolve his argument by you going to sleep on the damn bed." he tried to removed his hand but Gon tightened his grip. "I'm fine on the floor dumbass! Just take the bed for yourself!" Gon suddenly threw him into the bed, he must have used Nen or something. "GO TO SLEEP" he frowned slightly. "but I don't want you to sleep on the floor"

Gon smiled sweetly. "well then I guess we can both sleep on the bed" Killua flushed and stood up again. "no!" Gon was stubborn as hell, but so was Killua. At least, he could be if he wanted to. They kept going back and forth, Zenitsu eventually left. "Just sleep on the goddamn bed!" he half shouted, "only if you do too!" Gon shot back. They weren't actually mad at each other, but to anyone who walked in it probably might look that way. They argued for another 3 minutes when the door banged open and they both stopped. "Why are you two fighting?" Tanjiro said, crossing his arms. He was about to speak but Gon beat him to it. "Killua refuses to sleep on the bed! He's been on the floor the entire time!" Killua huffed. "I don't want you to sleep on the floor though!" Gon nodded, "exactly, so let's share the bed" he flushed a little again. "No! I'll sleep on the floor!" Tanjiro sighed heavily. "if it's that much of an issue, one of you can sleep in my room while I sleep on the floor" Gon shook his head. "No! Killua needs to stop being weird, and sleep on the bed!"

"why won't you give up" Killua complained. "because" he grabbed his arm, and shoved him onto the bed. This time Killua didn't resist. "you've gone through enough discomfort in your life, just be comfortable for once!" he blinked up at Gon, who was looking at him with worried eyes. "just sleep, ok? Have a nice sleep" he ruffled Killua's hair and he sighed. "fine, I give up" he rolled over and closed his eyes. As soon as he turned away he let himself blush some more. He's so kind, I don't deserve someone as good as him. Tanjiro whispered something and then left, Gon settled down on the floor and he sighed. So stubborn, why couldn't he just give up? Killua let himself fall asleep, today had been a good day for him. I wonder if Gon might love me back...

The next morning when he woke up, he felt a warm pressure on his chest. He opened his eyes and blushed furiously as he realized it was Gon, who had his head resting on his chest. He let out a half yelp and his heart fluttered a little. I want to... no! I won't! he breathed for a few seconds, trying to calm his blush. "what was that noise?" he flushed a little more when Tanjiro walked in, blinking for a few seconds. "so he did take my advice after all" he shot Tanjiro a glare and he chuckled. This was his doing? "I think the only one who doesn't know about how you feel is Gon himself" he let out a weird noise as Gon moved a little, his breath coming slightly faster as Gon put a hand on his chest. Damn it, I really want to take advantage of this... but I can't, I won't. Killua slowly moved a hand along his back, causing him to stir slightly. "Mnh" Killua removed his hand quickly, looking to the side. No... just please wake up.

He both loved and hated this, on one hand he thought Gon was adorable and he wanted to do stuff like this more often. But on the other, Gon still didn't know how he felt about him and might hate him if he did something without meaning to. It was much like the demon urges, except it was a different kind of hunger. I'll never be able to tell him though, I'm too scared he might not feel the same way. Tanjiro took a couple steps forward. "Gon" Aah! Damn it I don't know if I want to wake him up or not! His emotions were all jumbled up. Killua hid his blush as Gon lifted his head. "huh?" he smiled warmly. "time to wake up, don't you want to do training today?" Gon beamed and leapt off him, almost as if forgetting he was there. "oh yeah!" he bounced over and grabbed his training outfit, which was his shorts and tank top. He then proceeded to take off his shirt and Killua let out a choked noise, shoving his head into the blankets. Why? Damn it I really wanna look.

After Gon had left the room he quickly got dressed himself, he usually wore his favorite outfit but when he went somewhere like into town he wore his other one. He made sure to slip his yoyos into his pockets before he exited the room. Once he did, he walked outside to see that Tanjiro had made food today. It was some sort of roasted animal, he couldn't identify it. Zenitsu, Insouke, and Gon were all eating already. He sat down next to Gon and started to eat, it made him feel better about himself even though it did nothing to relieve his hunger. "so, I have a question" Insouke said, stuffing some food in his mouth. "ask away!" Gon said, beaming. He looked from Gon, then to Killua. "why exactly do you hang out with that demon so much?" Killua had gotten used to his thickness, Insouke was even more of an idiot than Gon was. But in a way, he was a pretty ok guy. "Oh!" Gon grabbed his hand and Killua blushed a little as he smiled. "Killua's my best friend in the whole world!"

Killua felt his smile dim a little. Friends, yeah. That's what we are. Gon let go of his hand and he half heartedly took another bite. Just friends... the term 'friend' used to be his favorite. Gon was his first, and he was so happy that somebody finally liked him for who he was. But, now he disliked it a little more. I want to be more then friends. He looked away to hide his expression, taking another bite before putting up his front. "alright, I'm done" he got up and put his hands behind his head. "so, what's training for the day?"
