Gon held the knife at the ready though, just in case. "hello?" there was a gasp, then shuffling. Hmm... whoever it was didn't sound dangerous. "I know your there" he said, Alluka let go of his hand as he went deeper into the cave. What he saw was most definitely a demon, he had white hair and golden eyes. The demon also had some red marks on his face and it seemed to have some sort of red horns? But they were more droopy like antennae, or like his hair. As soon as he got within sight, the demon's eyes went wide and he retreated further into the cave. Is he scared? That's interesting. "go away!" he shouted. Gon kept going deeper after him, this demon was fascinating. They reached the back and he heard him mutter something. "Damn it what did Killua tell me to do in this type of-" he gasped. "you know Killua?" he froze. "um... yes?" he's talking to me. Demons don't talk in idle situations usually. "well, he's my best friend. I know it might sound weird because he's a demon, but-"

The demon let out a heavy sigh of relief. "thank god, I thought I was gonna die there" Gon blinked. "so, how do you know Killua?" he rubbed the back of his head. "well, I may have tried to scare him off my hunting grounds" just how far away did he go? "and he kind of used this drug on me and nearly killed me" that was when he noticed his eye and gasped. "your one of the twelve kizuki!" he sighed. "the lowest of the lower moons. Anyways, I was spared because Killua had his first shift and I could explain some things to him" he was about to ask a question when the demon continued. "a shift is when part of a demon's body alters drastically. Like an extra limb, or a tail" he nodded, that made sense. "so we just kind of talked for a bit, and he gave me a name because I don't remember my human one" he smiled a little. Killua made a friend. I know he won't admit it, but this demon is his friend. "so I go by Akastune now" Gon smiled, then beckoned Alluka over.

She kind of half hid behind him, but looked at Akastune with a curious expression. He didn't blame her though, her first encounter with demons she nearly got eaten. "well this is Alluka, Killua's little sister" he saw Akastune's eyes shimmer a little. "she's so adorable" he giggled. "I know right?" but then he paused. "so, I only know of one demon who is capable of resisting the urge to eat humans" he sighed. "well, I admit I used to. But I kind of made a promise not to because, I mean otherwise I would have died" he winced slightly. Damn Killua. You sure have a way of turning people around. "sorry about him. He's kind of..." Gon couldn't think of the right word. "doesn't matter, anyways" suddenly he shifted forward, Gon lowered the dagger as Akastune walked over. "does your name happen to be Gon?" he blushed a little. "so he talked about me" I mean, of course he would. He's my boyfriend. Although, Kurapika and Leorio didn't know that. Neither did Alluka right now, they hadn't told anyone about their relationship. "yeah, and be thankful. He was going to stay out for a lot longer before I made him realize he fixed his problem"

Gon smiled, "well I'm happy now. Although, Kurapika was kind of pissed" he frowned slightly. "I'm still mad at him for blaming it on Killua, it was my fault for putting the fear into his mind by accident" Alluka walked over and peered up at Akastune. "Akastune, can you pat my head?" Ah shit. Well, there was no going back now. Akastune nodded a little and complied. "just so you know, when she asks for requests like that sometimes something happens" he blinked. "ok?" Alluka smiled. "can you give me a hug?" Akastune actually smiled a bit as he gave her a hug, it was kind of precious. But I swear to god he better not be like Zenitsu, if he so much as blushes at her- he broke himself out of that thought. He was overthinking this too much, he probably never got affection as a demon and that's why he was so unaccustomed to it.

"Akastune, can you hold my hand?" he shrugged and put his hand out. Gon knew what was probably going to happen in the next ten seconds. Suddenly Akastune's eyes went wide. "wish wish" he glanced over at Gon. "uhhh, is this the 'something' you said would happen?" Nanika came out. "yes, ask her for a flower crown. Just do it please" he looked nervous, but complied. "can I have a flower crown?" Nanika let go of his hand. "Ai" out of nowhere, some golden and red flower petals blew in on the wind and settled themselves on his head. "wh-" he held up a hand. "so. That was Nanika. No she is not a demon, nobody knows where Nanika came from but she and Alluka are fused and essentially the same person" Alluka walked back over with a smile. "Akastune's flower crown looks pretty!" he nodded. "yes it does-", "GON" FUCK. He had forgotten about his time limit. Tanjiro obviously smelled the demon because he had his sword out.

There was no time to think, he caught the sword and it stabbed into his palm. "wait!" Tanjiro gasped and removed his sword. Ow. How does Killua make it look so easy? He winced. "sorry. But I'd rather you not kill one of Killua's only friends." Tanjiro paused. "excuse me?" he gestured to Akastune, who still looked very much terrified. "this is Akastune. We've been talking for like ten minutes and he hasn't so much as attempted to kill me" he then realized the blood might be temping him, so he wrapped it up quickly and glanced back. Akastune had his eyes squeezed shut and he was looking away. He's trying, that's good. "also, something worth mentioning" he said, with a smile. "he used to be one of the lower moons, before they got disbanded" Tanjiro's jaw dropped. "one of the twelve kizuki?!" he nodded. "yeah!" Tanjiro reached over and grabbed Akastune's shoulder, who's eyes snapped open with a startled expression.

"can I have some of your blood?" excuse me? Gon saw him glance over to him nervously. "may I know why?" Tanjiro slid his sword back into its sheath. "so I can bring it to a demon that's trying to find a way to turn demons back into humans!" his eyes widened. "is that even possible?" he nodded. "any poison can be cured, but we need demons who have a strong concentration of muzan's blood" Akastune nodded. "I guess I can do that, it sounds like a good cause" Tanjiro blinked. "you don't talk like a demon" he laughed nervously. "well, I spent quite a while with Killua, he taught me how to be less of a monster I guess" then he frowned slightly. "he also told me a bit about his life as a human, it actually made me feel bad" well yeah, being forced to kill people is awful. He giggled, "but it's also so cool!" both of the other guys looked at him. "what about that is cool to you?" Akastune asked, confused. "well you see, this one time he was a in a death match" Gon said, his eyes gleaming. "and he ripped this guy's heart out of his chest like it was nothing! He didn't even get blood on his hands!"

There was silence for a few moments and he rubbed the back of his head. "oh right, Killua said not to talk about that. Something about mental stability." Akastune was speechless, but Tanjiro just sighed. "it's probably not smart to talk about someone murdering someone like that, it makes you sound crazy" Gon frowned slightly. "but he was a mass murderer, he deserved it anyways" Alluka giggled, "Oni-chan is so cool, I know what you mean Gon" Tanjiro looked slightly worried. "let's just go home" Gon was about to walk out of the cave when he paused. "what about Akastune?" he heard a chuckle, "I can wait until nightfall to meet the rest of you guys. I think I'd rather have places to run before I do that" he muttered the last part and Gon beamed. "see ya later!"

Killua was still sleeping when he came back. How long did he go without sleep? As he was sitting on the edge of his bed, Killua suddenly jolted awake with a gasp. "Killua?" his eyes darted over to him and he started to cry again. "Gon!" Gon let Killua cry into him, although he was worried to think about what type of dream he must have had to wake up like that. "do you want to talk about it?" Killua shook his head, "N-No" the door opened quickly and he glanced up to see Tanjiro. "I heard yelling, is everything alright?" he sighed. "yes. I think Killua just had a nightmare" his tail was quivering and his ears were flattened, Gon had a pretty good grip on animal body language and that meant he was probably scared. He sighed, then started to close the door. "it's about an hour until sundown, you might want to be out here when your friend arrives"

The door closed and Killua sat back, wiping his eyes. "you're expecting a friend?" he chuckled. "he meant your friend" Killua's eyes widened. "Akastune? " he nodded. "me and Alluka found him in a cave on the mountain while we were exploring. He winced down at his bandaged hand. "I had to made a split second decision" Killua glanced down and his eyes widened again. "are you alright?" he sighed. "I'm fine, but how do you make catching a blade look so easy?" Killua started to laugh, and Gon felt himself blushing slightly. It's genuine. "you really tried that?" he stopped crying, so Gon wiped his tears away because Killua didn't do it himself. For some reason, he kind of leaned into his hand. "aww" Killua blushed. "No" he giggled. "you totally liked that" his ears flattened and he looked away, although he was given away by his tail that was curling slightly. "no I did not" he cupped Killua's cheek with his hand and he growled a little, but his tail was curling even more. I might be starting to like this cat thing.
