They sat there in silence for a good two minutes before he heard Tanjiro clear his throat. "Ahem" he uncurled his tail from Gon's body, same with his arms and he glanced in his direction. "there's still three demons. Why aren't they moving though?" he grinned, and Gon's eyes started to gleam. "was that you?" he nodded. "yeah! Watch this" Killua went over and slashed a cut in one of their arms. The demon didn't even respond, just glanced around nervously. "woah! It's like he can't feel it!" Killua nodded. "he can't, also" Killua rubbed the back of his head. "I promised myself not to come back until I found a way to feed on something other than humans" both Tanjiro and Gon's jaws dropped. "No way!" Tanjiro half yelled. "how?" Gon asked. Killua sighed. "it's not exactly pleasant, but..." he pointed to one of the demons. "I pretty much feed off of demons" when he said that, all three of the prone demons started trying to writhe.

"that won't work" he snapped. "now shut the fuck up" he grabbed the nearest one and he tried biting him, so Killua raked his claws across his face. He howled in pain. "the rest of your body is completely numb. It won't hurt if you don't struggle" he opened his mouth and started to feed. After he was done, the demon was a pile of ash. Killua licked his lips and turned to see that Gon was crying again. "hey!" he went over and gave him another hug, his tail flicked in irritation. "stop crying! I'm back now" now that I know I can't hurt you. "anyways" he said, shrugging Gon off. "do what you want, I only need like one every week or something" although I usually feed more often, to get stronger. Out of nowhere he felt something brush against his tail and he yelped, shooting a glare at Gon. "it's sensitive! Don't touch that!" he hissed.

Gon giggled, "but it looks so fluffy-" Tanjiro grabbed Gon by the back of the shirt, the back of his shirt. "hold on, why the hell are you wearing my favorite outfit!" Killua flushed. "well you see, it's very comfortable. I think I might keep it-" he snarled, running after them as Tanjiro started to drag him. "it's mine idiot!" they argued the whole way back to the house, it was pointless bickering that made him feel light inside. I missed this.

Gon was happy again, although he was still coming to terms with the fact that Killua had changed a lot over the past three weeks. While he had been crying and sulking, Killua honed his demon powers and created new ones. That's Killua for you. For some reason Killua disappeared from behind them, but Gon was too happy to care. Tanjiro let go of him and he started bouncing a little. The spark had come back into his eyes and so did the spring in his step. "I'm so so happy!" he started rambling about how happy he was when suddenly the door to the cabin slammed open and a very angry Kurapika came storming out. "Gon!" he said sternly. Kurapika had been very overprotective of him for the last couple weeks, he wasn't actually supposed to go outside according to him without two other people. "where the hell were yo-" he paused as Gon giggled and bounced over to him. "hi!"

Kurapika's eyes narrowed. "you haven't smiled like that since..." he squealed and grabbed Kurapika's hand. "Killua came back! He did! And he-" Kurapika growled. "where is he" Gon paused. "why do you sound so mad?" shouldn't Kurapika be happy? He glanced behind him. "no clue, he was walking behind us when-" he was interrupted by a crash from inside. All three of them ran in the house to see that Killua was currently clinging to a support beam with flattened ears while Insouke was trying to stab him. "get back here demon!" Killua hissed. "don't you recognize me? I just grew a fucking tail!" Gon burst into giggles and all eyes went on him. Well, he had been extremely depressed for the last three weeks so he couldn't exactly blame them for being surprised. Killua gave him a cat face and he leapt up there with him. "Killua!" he caught him with his tail, Gon couldn't actually hang up there like that. "you're a dumbass"

Killua had just narrowly avoided being slashed, which was stupid because he looked the exact same. Well, maybe his hair was less fluffy and he had cat appendages but that was about it. Then Gon leapt up with him and he nearly dropped him, he still wasn't used to his tail completely. "you're a dumbass" Gon beamed. "I know" he found himself blushing again. "Killua Zoldyck" he flinched. Shit. Kurapika sounds pissed. He climbed down, gently helping Gon to his feet. He then walked nervously over to Kurapika, who was definitely pissed. "were talking outside. Right now" he ducked his head obediently, following him out the door without a word. A few people followed, Tanjiro, Leorio, and Alluka came. Alluka ran over and hugged him for a moment, before glancing up once at Kurapika and going back to stand next to Tanjiro. His tail flicked nervously as Kurapika glared down at him for a moment.

Then his hand came across his face hard and he flinched. "IDIOT!" he shouted. "do you know how much pain you caused Gon?" Killua put a hand to his stinging cheek, not meeting his eyes. "he couldn't even leave his room for two weeks!" it was that bad? He steeled himself, Killua would not cry. Not in front of them, he would do it alone. Killua took a deep breath and put his hands behind his head, his face falling into his monotone expression. His eyes were red, and he kept shouting at him. Did you ever once stop to think about why I left? "are you even listening to me?" he scolded. Killua sighed, "yep, every word" Kurapika clenched his fists. "do you not care?" he closed his eyes for a moment, trying his best not to snap at him. Snapping would make it worse, and he wouldn't let his violent side harm anyone. He let his tail flick lazily back and forth. "are you done yet? It's pretty late at night. You might need some beauty rest" Kurapika was unconsciously using bloodlust, but it wasn't strong enough to make him tremble.

He stormed off into the woods, when he turned Leorio looked disappointed in him. "how can you have no remorse? You're so cold" then he walked off. Killua was struggling to keep his monotone expression up when Alluka frowned at him. "that was kind of mean, you made Gon cry" he pretended to shrug it off, turning away. Alluka walked back inside and he braced himself for Tanjiro to be mad at him. "I know you're not fine" he glanced over at Tanjiro, who wasn't mad. He was smiling, it wasn't a fake one either. He felt his front come down, suddenly tears were rolling down his cheeks. "I just..." he wiped his eyes. "I know it was wrong, I know I'm an awful person for leaving" he felt Tanjiro wrap an arm around him. "no you're not. I don't know why you left, but you were scared. And I'm guessing you weren't scared for yourself, but for someone else" he let himself cry, Tanjiro was so kind. He was so forgiving, he was like... like the loving big brother I never had.

Gon had used Zetsu so sneak around the house and listen to the entire thing. He was absolutely furious at Kurapika right now. Not only had he hit Killua, but he made him cry. Gon felt a tear roll down his own cheek as he listened to Killua crying into Tanjiro's shoulder. I'm going out there! He walked out from behind the tree he was hiding behind and Tanjiro's eyes widened a little. He hugged Killua from behind, who gasped slightly and turned his head, then started to sob into his shoulder. "I- I-" he silenced Killua by ruffling his hair a little, making sure to steer clear of the ears because Killua had told him not to touch them. "I don't blame you for running, if I hadn't planted that fear into your mind then you wouldn't have left" he clutched Gon a little tighter. "but I-" he chuckled softly. "betrayed you? Was that what you were going to say?" he used a hand to move Killua's chin up so he was looking him in the face. "remember what I said? When you were on the train tracks?"

Killua's eyes widened slightly. "you'd never betray me, and even if you did I'd be okay with it as long as it was you" then he kissed him. Killua's tears started to slow. He tilted his head a little to the side, squeezing his eyes shut. "Mh~"Gon decided to cut it off early, Tanjiro was like, right there. He pulled back and Killua wiped his eyes. "I- Damn it." he gave Killua smile, and he smiled back a little. "hey. It's ok to cry, crying is better than bottling up your emotions" once upon a time, he had done that. And it only ended up hurting me in the end. "so, you forgive me?" Killua said quietly, his eyes were still shiny. He smiled down at Killua again, and he saw his tail curl up. "of course I do"
