Chapter VIII: The Hunt for the Truth Begins

Regina and Tonny drove their way to my apartment using Ton's car since Regina's was left at the hospital.

Neither of them spoke anything.

Regina still puzzled and afraid with what she already thought she knows about what happened to me.

And Tonny,

Being sympathetic to his partner, chooses to be silent for he understood her silence. Thinking She must be really worried for me.

He witnessed how deep our friendship was, our closeness was beyond sisters. And because he was not aware of what's been happening to us lately.

He noticed Regina was really in a deep thought when she didn't seem to noticed they entered the said street where the apartment was located.

Regina didn't even noticed they arrived already and the car has stopped.

Tonny called her attention once

'Hey babe?' In a soft voice

Regina quickly turned her head towards him.

Tonny touches her chin gave it a soft pinch

'We're here already' pointing at the sign board that reads;

Block 24 Lot 3

Regina seemed surprised and somewhat scared?

She didn't even move.

'What's wrong babe? Natatakot ka bang pumasok?'

She didn't replied, just stared at the house.

'Andito naman ako, sasamahan kita babe, don't worry nalinis na siguro sa loob ng mga pulis'

He reassured her.

She then turned to him and noded.

Tonny hop out quick and turned to her door side and opened it for her.

Regina hop out the car and took Tonny's right hand and gathered their steps towards the house, the key was dangling on her left hand.

They stopped on my front porch and Tonny spoke;

'Let me?' Smiling sweetly at her.

Regina then handed him the key.

He took it from her hand and inserted it in the keyhole.

And then swang it open

The walls are still painted with blood and the floor

Regina took a deep breath and gripped Tonny's hand tightly.

They looked at each other and began their way inside.

Avoiding the blood on the floor they studied the whole living room, all things are intact, but obviously, all was dusted already by the police for their investigation.

Regina felt the chilly air all around, she wasn't sure if Tonny felt it too.

The horrifying memories of her nightmare that night flashback in her mind.

Tonny noticed her stunned.

He then took her hand to his lips and kissed it and said

'Relax babe! We'll get what we need and aalis na agad tayo! I'll send someone to clean these mess later, okay?"
