Knock Knock Knock

The door opened and Dr. Malabanan and a nurse came in.

"Good evening bestfriends!" She greeted both of us showing her perfect white teeth.

Regina who was seating beside my bed stood up

"Doktora, good evening din po!" Regina smiled back at her

"How was our patient?" She asked eyeing me while still smiling

I didn't reacted

"She was fine doktora!" Regina asnwered

"Good! And I have a good news to both of you!" She looked at me and then to Regina

"Wow! Ano po yun doc?" Regina pretended surprised

"Well lumabas agad yung results ng CTS niya ngayong hapon, and it didn't show any problem in it! Ibig sabihin, she's totally fine and ready ng ma discharge!" Dr. Malabanan announced happily.

"Wow! Definitely a good one! Phew! Thank you doc, thank you po talaga!" Regina looking really happy like it was only the good news she ever heard.

I was not sure if fear and worries crawled across my face but I was sure it does in my heart, and even panic in my mind.

"Narinig mo yun bhest? Makakalabas ka na!" She holds my hand.

"Anyway, I'll discharge you Christy tomorrow morning, okay? I'll go now!"

"Thank you talaga po doktora!"

And Regina walked her to the door.

The whole night I stayed awake. Really, really confused and scared, I've got nowhere to go but to the apartment. What would I tell Regina? And the police? But...

I have to be brave, I know I have to. Because no one else would does for me.

Bahala na! Gagawa ako ng paraan para mapatahimik ang kaluluwang yun! Maybe she needs help? Pero ano naman ang maitutulong ko for christ sake!

I convinced myself but still, my feelings didn't change a bit. I was scared and nervous to death I wanted to die.

I started to cry, I feel so helpless.

Mama, Papa! Huhuhu!

The next morning

Regina was busy packing our things, getting ready to discharge, while the nurse came in to removed my IV.

"Ma'am Regina, paki settle na lang po ng bill sa baba? Ito po may reseta pang kailangan inumin sa bahay si Miss Christy!"

"Ah yes! Thank you miss!" She took the medical list and spoke to me.

"Bhest baba muna ako ha, I'll be back as soon as we're ready to leave." And she kissed me on the cheeks.

She went out the door together with the nurse

I was left alone again, my eyes started to water

Anong gagawin ko? Shit!

A gusty wind blew in from the opened window.. It's chilly cold, I wonder why?
