8. Fireworks v.s. Drones

"Oh! That one changed colors!" Luna yelled, pointing at the sky where the firework went off, "it went from purple to orange!" the four-year-old exclaimed.

"Oh! That one had baby fireworks!" Dawn pointed from where she was sitting on her mother's lap. "it exploded and then there were little fireworks!"

Chris and each other looked down at the twin girls in their laps with smiles and back at each other.

"Oh! That one was really loud!" Luna yelled, "but it's pretty!"

"That one went boom! Then made sizzling sounds!" Dawn giggled.

Chris and Sofia looked back up at the night sky when a red and green flashing light caught the woman's eye.

"There's a drone over there, watching the fireworks" Sofia pointed out. The twins gasped as they looked over to where their mother had pointed.

"A drone!?" Dawn questioned.

"They're watching the fireworks from the cameras" Sofia explained.

"You see the drone, Lulu?" Dawn asked, as her eyes were fixated on the green and red flashing lights

"I see it DD" Luna nodded, focused on the drone as well.

"Are you guys going to watch the drone or the fireworks?" Chris asked amused, as his daughters have seemed to completely forget about the fireworks.

"But it's not like we get to see drones every day Daddy" Dawn said as she shrugged her shoulders, looking up at him with a scrunched-up face.

"It's not like you get to see fireworks every day either Dawn." Chris countered.

The girls then went back to watching the fireworks, commenting on them every once in a while, and letting out choruses of 'ooooo' and 'ahhhhh' as they admired the bright, loud lights.

"Where did the drone go!?" Dawn exclaimed,

"It's over there!" Luna shouted, pointing in the opposite direction where a drone is actively flying behind them and moving closer towards the display.

Chris looked shook his head at his little girls as they intently watch the drone fly. Sofia looked at her husband and kids and smirked.

"Actually that's a different drone." Sofia informed, "the first one is behind the tree, see" she pointed to the tree where you can see the red and green lights through the tree branches.

"Three drones!" Luna exclaimed pointing up at another light.

"No Lulu, that's an airplane," Dawn stated plainly.

"Oh." She said as she looked at the plane for a little while more. "two drones!" Luna exclaimed, raising her fists in the air.

"Two drones!" Dawn yelled, copying her sister's motions.

"Oh my gosh!" Chris laughed at his daughters' actions.

The finale of the fireworks began to come to an end when the second drone began to fly towards the fireworks.

"It's moving towards the fireworks!" Dawn gasped.

The girls began to yell about the drone moving to the fireworks as they watched it move closer and closer as the fireworks continued to go off.

"It's so close!" Luna screamed as a firework went off right as the drone was flying through the middle of it.

They watched intently and continued to shout as the drone flew to the other side of the display and away.

"Were you two cheering for the drone to get hit by the firework?" Sofia asked, looking down at her daughters.

"No," Dawn said.

"I was" stated Luna.
