Chapter 10 🦊

I had woken up pretty late this morning, so after hurrying to get change, I quickly rushed down to the Great Hall, where Lily and the boys were sat. 

"Morning." I grumbled as I sat down beside James, who gave me a large grin and wrapped an arm around my shoulder.

"Morning Princess" James  laughed. "You sleep well?" 

"Surprisingly no." I sighed, resting my head on his shoulders. "I was up all night, I just couldn't sleep."

"Aw baby." James cooed as he stroked my hair, playing with the ends while I just lay there.

I hated how calm and relaxed this idiot always made me.

I was still mad.... Well heart broken over the whole 'James having a date to the Halloween ball' thing.

But I had no right to be upset, Lily made that very clear. We weren't together and be happy for James, no matter what.

So I swallowed my pride and very quickly got back to normal and decided not to let my feelings ruin my friendship with James.

Which was why I still felt content being wrapped up in James's arms while I ate a slice of toast that James had handed me.

After I had finished my food I just closed my eyes and let the warmth of James's body heat wash over me.

I loved this.

I'd love to just stay like this forever, James's arms wrapped around me, his fingers brushing through my hair, his voice sending vibrations up through his chest and through out my body and every now and then he'd tighten his grip a little bit or he'd lean down and kiss my head, making me smile softly. 

Before long it was time to start heading off to our first class of the day, potions, well for me, Lily and the girls.

Now, I've probably mentioned this before, I loved Potions, but I didn't have any of the boys with me, so I had to actually pay attention to Slughorn otherwise Lily would scold me to no end.

So class was pretty much just me wanting to get out but my wanting fell of deaf ears as the class seemed to drag on and on with Slughorn going over things we had already learnt for the whole hour.

He was so boring that I had almost fallen asleep three times.  If it wasn't for Lily nudging me awake I probably would have ended up with detention.

Which would probably still be more fun than this bloody lesson.

Before to long I was heading off to my first class of the day, Potions, with Lily and the girls.
