junhui sighed once again.

"you want to be an ohrian energy holder?" the god asked. he was getting tremors, nervous about the other gods with kaehee inside his abode. "creating such energy will take a while, since the core i have here is seokmin's."

"we can wait. does that take like ten minutes?"

"yeah, 10 minutes for a small fragment of an ohrian core," junhui nods. "but the question is, will you be able to take it?"

"there's nothing i can't do for my lovers, junhui," jisoo replied. "now go do it."

"now that the weaklings are gone," kaehee smiled. "shall we?"

without further ado, jeonghan uses his ability to make all the plants grow speedily—to restrict kaehee from moving. the vines and trunks of trees twist and turn, locking kaehee's legs on the ground. wonwoo creates a wind current, which seungcheol used to lift himself up and aim his ohrian energy towards kaehee. the goddess winces, which wonwoo took as an opportunity to lunge at her and knock her down.

it all happened in a span of five seconds.

now, the superbeings were stuck in a position. kaehee was under wonwoo, and her legs were tied to the ground using jeonghan's stems, trunks and vines. seungcheol had his hand back on top of his eye, ready to use it again. jeonghan was standing on top of a big boulder, looking down at kaehee.

"you better start using your other cores, goddess of music and song." wonwoo threatened, his long, sharp nails digging in kaehee's nape. it spurts blood—but that was just a distraction. wonwoo was connecting with an active core kaehee was using.

wonwoo knew kaehee would notice if he'd connect with an active core, but he hopes that the pain distracts her. please work. just this once. wonwoo will not be able to redo this again if it fails. kaehee would see right through him if he repeats it, and—

"MY CORE!" kaehee shrieked, her hand immediately reaching out for wonwoo. the god of luck throws himself up into the air, detaching himself from the goddess and letting the wind carry his weight. "GET BACK HERE!"

wonwoo looked down at kaehee, who tried to reach him from where she was. kaehee breaks out of the plants, and tried jumping—but seungcheol blasted out ohrian energy on her, and jeonghan followed by stabbing her with a greatsword he summoned.

the god of luck then puts the core he got from kaehee beside his original core—which involuntary made him take a few characteristics of kaehee's form. wonwoo had now an extra pair of eyes, and his hair lost its brown highlights—being replaced with just the color red altogether.

(now he looks like ronald mcdonald.)

"stop getting in my way, weaklings!" kaehee screams, shooting bows at jeonghan—who was swinging his greatsword around like it did not weigh fifteen kilograms. "you do not understand! that is my real core he stole!"

"wow."

"AH!" kaehee shrieked, turning around as she felt a burning sensation on her back. seungcheol was there, his hand infused with ohrian energy that stung kaehee.

"now you understand how the other gods felt when you stole their cores." seungcheol continued, before dodging a hit from kaehee's arrows. "does that make you happy? it's a taste of your own medicine."

"it does no—"

kaehee gets cut off, yet again.

there was a deafening static noise that resonated around the entirety of asylus, which caused all the beings in it to cover their ears. it was a pitiful attempt to stop the sound—which started to cause headaches.

at that, wonwoo descended down. "ah. so that's how your core is useful, huh, kaehee?"

ah. kaehee grunted, getting truly mad. the greedy goddess then activates all of her cores left, and breaks free from jeonghan's restraints.

"let's see who the superior god truly is."
