Part 6: Get The Fire Extinguisher

It's finally here! :)

Lloyd POV

It's about 6:00pm and Kai still hasn't texted us on our group chat called "manly men" how his date went. So I'm guessing there still on their date?

At least its a Friday night and I get to hang with the guys tomorrow.

I have absolutely nothing to do right now so I just decided to make some microwave popcorn and watch Netflix for the rest of the evening.

I know, great plans right?

Timeskip 2 hours later

I guess I must have fallen asleep because all of a sudden my phone went off super loud and woke me up. Why is my ringer on full blast?

I grabbed my phone to check who texted. It was Kai who texted on the 'manly men' group chat.

Kai: Hey guys, just got back from the date

Zane: how did it go?

Kai: Amazing actually

Cole: I didn't think you'd finish this late. What were you guys doing?

Kai: we watched the sunset.

Lloyd: how romantic Kai

Jay: you didn't actually show up in a tux like you told us you would, did you?

Kai: No way. Nya wouldn't let me leave the house in that, especially because we were just going to the park.

Jay: Aw it would've been SO funny if you did

Kai: Jay.

Jay: yeah guy who was gonna wear a TUX to his date at the PARK.

Kai: shut up.

Jay: or what

Kai: you wanna find out? I know where you live remember?

Jay: OK ima go now. Cya

Lloyd: yeah Cya guys tomorrow

Zane: Bye

Nya POV

I woke up in the middle of the night not knowing why. I checked the time on my phone. It said 1:47am.

Aw jeez. I'm never gonna fall back asleep.

I just lied in my bed for what seemed like forever when I decided to go check if by any chance Kai might be awake to keep me company.

I hopped out of bed, and put on my dinosaur slippers. Tell anyone I have those and I will deny it.

I walked down the hall to where Kais room is.

As soon as I opened the door, there was a bright light and a wave of heat washed over me. It only took a few seconds for my eyes to adjust to the light, and when they did I couldn't believe what I was seeing.

Kai was standing in the middle of his room looking at his hands that were somehow on fire.

But here's the thing he wasn't getting burnt. He was just looking at his hands confused and shocked.

He was so focused on the strange thing that was going on that he didn't even noticed I walked in.

"Kai? What's going on!" I asked kinda panicking at the strange sight.

Kai jumped a bit before answering.

"I don't know Nya I got out of bed because I felt hot so I was gonna get a glass of water downstairs but then my hands just caught on fire somehow!" He said also sounding and looking more panicky.

"We have to get mom and dad, they might be able to help." I turned to go to the door but Kai stopped me.

"Wait, Nya, don't go get them."

"Kai your hands are on fire! What else are we supposed to do?!"

"I don't know!"

"Well you somehow turned it on so turn it off!"

At this point we were both in even more of a panick than before. I didn't know WHAT to do.

"Wait I have a big brain Idea." Kai said.

"Well, what is it?"

"Get the fire extinguisher."

"Good idea." I said turning on my phone flashlight and speed walking out of Kais room so I would be more quiet so I don't wake our parents up.

I also made sure to close his door behind me. Incase they walked past. Hopefully he doesn't burn down the house before I get back.

I would have never thought that the reason I would need to use a fire extinguisher was because my brothers hands mysteriously caught in fire.

I was walking down the stairs when I bumped into my dad.

"Oh heyyyy daaaaaad." I said super suspiciously. Huh, I snuck at this.

"Hey sweety, what are you doing up?" Dad said kindly.

"I'm, ummm," think think think! "Getting a glass of water."

"Okay, well, I'm going back to bed now goodnight Nya." Dad said with a kind smile.

I smiled back and he walked away. As soon as a heard his door shut. I continued rushing down the stairs to get the fire extinguisher.

When I found it I rushed all the way back up the stairs. I quickly opened Kais door and the first thing I did was spray that stuff all over his hands.

"OK OK I think its out now!" Kai said.

"OK, I was just making sure."I said still out of breath.

We were quiet for a few minutes processing what just happened before Kai said,

"OK, that was I wack experience. Ummmm.... how about we go to bed just to be sure this isnt a dream and if we wake up in the morning and this white fire extinguisher stuff is still on my floor then we know it wasn't a dream, but let's pray it is." Kai said all at once.

"OK I think I followed you there. Goodnight then." I said awkwardly saluting for some reason and then  heading out the door to my room.

That was either the strangest night I ever had or the least strangest dream Ive ever had.
