“We need a much better plan. We can’t just appear in front of them unprepared.”

Ryan told them coldly. I don't know how he’s able to do a lot of things. I just know that he has a lot on his plate. His Mom, me, law and the HQ. In addition to that, sometimes it’s all together but he’s just calm as always. I might’ve just exploded if I were him.

“What are we going to do now?” Kaiden massaged his temple. Also stressing out.

I raised my hand. “They want me, just give me to them as a bait.”

“No. You’re risking your life—”

I cut off what Ryan is saying and put my hand down. “If that’s the only way. I could go in together with Leo since we both have the red card.”

“Tsk. I am not risking you.”

Well, knowing Ryan. I know he won’t let me. He just told me last time that ‘he couldn’t afford to lose me’ so it’s clear that he won’t risk me to go there in any way possible. I sighed and took a cigarette out of my pockets. I turned my back at them and lit my stick with the lighter from my pockets as well.

I put it in my mouth and blew some smoke. Inhaling and blowing out the smoke before turning to them na nanonood pala sa akin.

I took the cigarette out of my mouth to speak freely, “I can handle myself.” I assured him.

“I’m not gonna risk both of your lives to save Eli. I’m sure there’s another way.” 

“What if this is the other way?” Pamimilit ko pa.

“Baby.” He warned me with his tone. 

I rolled my eyes and just continued smoking hanggang sa maubos na yung stick ko. I turned it off with the ashtray near me. We are here in the smoking area of the HQ.

We are outside of the HQ wherein everyone is here, what I meant with everyone, kasama din si Zeus at Leo. Including the receptionist that we captured in Baguio last time. The man from Baguio died already, he killed himself. We could’ve given him a chance to change his side and be with us, but he chose to die. 

“You need proper training as well. So everyone must comply with the training everyday with Kaiden, Zeus and Aurelia.”

Training everyday with Kaiden, Zeus—and me?! What the heck. My eyes widened when I turned my head in Ryan's direction. Did I just hear it right?

“The training must start tomorrow morning.” He ended the meeting before leaving while looking at his analog watch. Everyone bowed after him, except Kaiden and Zeus who were already talking with each other. Hindi ko na hinabol si Ryan because I know he has another meeting. He's so busy.

“What are your plans with these huge numbers?” I approached the two, counting the assassins and reapers. There are like 50 excluding the four of us.

Sabay nila akong nilingon. 

“How about Leo?” Zeus asked me at nilingon si Leo na nakatingin sa pader. 

“He’ll be under investigation and he’s not allowed to be with us because of his involvement with Zelda.” I told him firmly.
