TW: Unwanted touchingI take a bite out of the pudding cake and immediately the chocolate melts on my tongue. "Mmm," I say, unable to contain my excitement. "This tastes so good."
Aurelia looks at me, nearly finished with her cake. "I think I might take another one."
"I might have if we didn't just eat lunch." I look down at my stomach, wishing I hadn't ate so much of those delicious falafels. I suppose you can't win both ways though.
"You have not lived until you tried this," Karina says, taking another bite of her chocolate torte. "Everything here is just too good." I sigh and say, "I don't have enough stomach for this."
"That's probably why Karina comes here weekly," Magnolia jokes. "So she can try everything." "Hey, I'm an expert when it comes to food," Karina says, placing her hands under her chin for emphasis.
"Have you actually tried everything here?" Suri asks, taking a spoonful of her chocolate pudding.
"I have," Karina beams. "It's kind of a little something I'm proud of actually." "They should make you a sponsor," Aurelia laughs. "Or make you a 'Karina' special."
"That would be so cool!"
"Okay, Aurelia," Suri says, looking at her. "You said your place might take a while, so after we go to the Moon Showroom, you have the rest of the day for your spot." "You're going to love my place," Aurelia teases, looking right at me.
"Now I want to know," Magnolia pretends to pout. "My lips are sealed," Karina says, doing the motion. "Can I tickle it out of you?" Magnolia questions, raising an eyebrow. "No," Karina says nervously. She moves her chair away from Magnolia.
"Could I have another hint please?" I ask. "The suspense is killing me." "Well, it will have to kill you a little longer." Aurelia sends me an innocent smile.
"Well, I didn't want to go anyways," I say, pretending to ignore her. "That's not what I heard a few seconds ago," Aurelia says, crossing her arms.
I sigh and ask, "How is 'S' a hint?"
"It's a reasonable hint for someone smart." I pretend to be offended by opening my mouth in shock. Magnolia comes to my rescue, saying, "Oh, quite teasing her."
"And for better words, me!" Magnolia crosses her arms, mocking Aurelia's pose. "You're teasing me too."
"Let's just be patient," Suri says. "Good things come to those who wait." Magnolia and I both groan.
"Come on, you guys!" Karina says, standing up. "Cheer up. The showroom is fun," she states, finishing the last of her torte.
"Agreed," Suri says, stacking the empty plates.
"Well, let's get there quickly before these two explode," Aurelia laughs, pointing to us with her thumb.
"I don't appreciate this harassment," Magnolia says. She looks at me for an agreement. I nod and say, "It's bad enough you somehow brainwashed Suri to join your side."
