#6 Chasing You

Dahyun's POV:

After math class, I gained a massive headache. Geez, I'm always like this when it comes to this subject. Anyways, our class is already finished but my head is still in pain.

"Are you sure that Jeongyeon unnie won't be mad at us?" Knowing Tzuyu, she's afraid of what will happen.

Yes, it's still not Friday but I'm planning to see someone. I decided to bring her and Chaeyoung since our dismissal are earlier than the others. I need someone to accompany me.

"I think we'll be fine. Dahyun says that it won't take long right?" Chaeyoung was more confident than Tzuyu.

"Maybe. Let's just make sure to go home when it's already five-thirty. We should be home before the unnies can catch us."

"Deal." Chaeyoung casually said. Unlike Tzuyu, Chaeyoung is more of a carefree person. She goes with the flow. Tzuyu on the other hand, is the exact opposite. She make sure to do what she's been told. You can't easily fool nor convince her. Except today.

"Let's go." Without wasting any time, we walked outside the school and onto the streets.

"Where are we going? It feels like forever now." Chaeyoung is dragging her feet out of boredness.

"We're almost there."

Here's the truth. I just wanted to see Vernon. Yes, we have a past. Two years ago, we hid our relationship. It was only between us. We were happy, but the time comes when my father knew about it. I'm an only child and my mother passed away when I was a toddler. For some reason, he told Vernon to stay away from me. I kept chasing him but he's running away. I've been wanting to talk to him but he always rejected me. Until now. And that's it, that's how our story ended.

God gave me a chance to talk to him again through Nayeon unnie and Seungcheol oppa. Maybe that's why they met in the first place; so that I can have another chance with Vernon.

"Here we are."

"Eh?" Tzuyu was confused. We're here outside a big tall apartment. It was more luxurious than our house.

"Be honest, who are you expecting unnie?" The youngest asked as she moved closer to me.

"I'm here to see Vernon."

Obviously, the both of them are shocked. It's visible on their faces. Their jaws can reach the ground at any minute now.

"How did you find his location? Don't tell me you're stalking him!" Chaeyoung hit my arms lightly.

"Pfft! I didn't. You know how? Simple. I got it from Mr. Hwang."

"Oh, that old guy. You're so smart." Chaeyoung teased me, pinching my arms. I felt so proud as I flipped my hair.

I know I'm smart.

It's actually been two days since we all last met. I thought that we're going to start training. I just heard that from Nayeon unnie but I'm not that sure though.

My head started to hurt again but I didn't mind it. I just want to talk to him that's all.

Chaeyoung's POV:

"Who are we waiting for again?" Currently, we're sitting on a large- long stone beside the road. We're all cupping our knees since our skirts are not long enough to cover our legs. Plus it's still cold out here.

"Vernon." Dahyun sighed.

"Unnie, how about let's just go home? It's already quarter to five." Tzuyu suggested. She's clearly afraid of Jeongyeon unnie. Clearly.

"Five more minutes." She responded back.

Looking in front of me, I was surprised to see three guys walking towards our direction.

"Dahyun." I elbowed the sad girl beside me.

"What?" She looked at me with an annoyed face. Can she just stop reacting for a while and just listen to me?

I just pointed at the three guys that are not far from us. As she tilted her head, that's when her face changed.

Fast as lightning, she stood up.

The boys stopped. Vernon, I presume, stared at her for seconds. Afterwards they continued to walk.

"What the heck? We waited so long and they're just going to ghost us?" I crossed my arms.

"See, it's a sign for us to go home. Let's go unn—" Tzuyu grabbed Dahyun's arms but she insisted.

"Wait. Please, just a minute?" Dahyun pleased her in a serious manner. Tzuyu looked at her with pity and sighed. She had no choice but to nod as Dahyun walk towards the guy that she waited.

Still with my brows furrowed, the small guy looked at me the same way I looked at him. He's Lee Chan right? He even calls himself Dino. Is he a dinosaur or what? Pft.

Vernon, once again, didn't acknowledge the presence of Dahyun.
I don't know their past or anything but he shouldn't treat her like that.

"Wait." Before she could say another word, Dahyun suddenly fell on the ground. With no doubts, the both of us went towards her and managed to catch her.

To my surprise Vernon came to his senses and kneeled beside her. Well, maybe he still cares.

"She needs to rest. Let's go inside our apartment." Vernon carried her in a bridal style and soon we reached their living room. She layed Dahyun on the sofa and proceeded to get medicine.

"Never expected that their apartment is not that big. The exterior was luxurious enough to fool me." Talking to myself, I didn't expect that that Lee Chan guy interrupted.

"It's all about disguise Chaeyoung."

I was shocked when he called me casually.

"Excuse me?"

"Pass."

"What?" I was more confused. Like what did he just said?

"No one's blocking your way. You can now pass."

Wow. Just because I said excuse me doesn't mean I need to pass.

"How funny of you Mr. Philosopher." My tone was sarcastic and he literally knows that.

"We don't have any food left." Mingyu went back from opening the cabinets. His face showed disappointment after discovering that they ran out of food.

"Your apartment doesn't have any food?" I questioned. How come?

"I told you, it's disguise Chaeyoung-ah." Chan smirked but I shrugged it off, looking away from him with disgust.

"Well, I need to go to the convenience store. Who's coming with me?" Mingyu oppa asked but everyone went silent. Even his friends doesn't want to come with him.

"Maybe Tzuyu can help. She can pay for the food." I stated just so that it won't be that awkward. Yes, it was just an excuse, but Tzuyu gave me a death glare in return for me saving the atmosphere.

"Kaja?" Mingyu oppa asked her and she nodded.

I looked at Dahyun and she's still laying on the sofa with her eyes closed.

I hope Jeongyeon unnie won't know about this.
