13. the decipher

once i woke up, i was laid in my room by myself, the quilt was thrown over my body without an effort.

then i remembered that my family is arriving today, but all i could think of is how the fight will turn out. what will happen? who will be hurt? just like Dwayne said, i cant worry myself on people when they agreed into this for my safety, no matter the outcome. i'd do that for him, id sacrifice every inch of my alive body.

"Dwayne?" i mumbled, wiping my eyes as i lifted up.

in the living room- he sent to me through my mind.

i lifted myself of the bed and to my draws, there was some denim blue trousers that i placed on after my pants, a black tank top and a Hawaiian shirt un-buttoned over the top.

As i walked out, i noticed i was the last one to get up, as everyone was making conversation in the living room, i as down next to Dwayne as i tried to join into his, Edwards and Laurent's conversation on how they all met.

"Laurent and his gang where all passing through Forks when we were playing a game, James, one of Laurent's hunters found an interest in Bella and it was all like a cat and mouse chase as he hunted Bella, she eventually got sick and sacrificed herself, we found her just in time, but Laurent didn't show any interest in fighting against us, more than anything he wanted to keep the peace." Edward spoke, looking back at us all every few seconds as he skipped through eye contact with everyone.

"I met Max when i was hunting alone, i fed with him a few times actually and then we sometimes bump into each other, i was hunting around when Max, Paul and Marko went looking for me before heading to Forks for the others" Laurent spoke.

"are your old friends still alive?" i asked, finally joining in as i sat next to Dwayne and he rested on of his hands on my thigh.

"No, when Bella went and met James to stop the hunt, he tried to kill her, Esme, Rosalie, Emmett and Jasper killed him, me, Carslile and Alice drained his blood out of her" Edward spoke.

"we killed Victoria and her new precious little follower Riley when they came for the revenge around five months or so ago"  Edward spoke as i let go of the breath i was holding and Dwayne gripped my thigh to show he is still there.

"i recognise that name Victoria"

"James' coven?" Laurent added.

"must have been mentioned by my farther's travelling" i smiled as Dwayne looked away, knowing the tension that it causes when i mention my farther.

"why did she fight when she knew she wouldn't win?" i asked Laurent and Edward, as Dwayne smiled at my enthusiasm to forget what was just mentioned.

"she would do anything for the love of James, they where mate's, you should know what it was like you both would go on a rage if any of the two of you where killed and 

"you would do anything for revenge" Laurent mentioned.

"yeah" i mumbled, looking down.

i don't know what i would do if Dwayne died, i mean i would have nothing yet to live for, then again Martha could find some spell to bring him back, right? but Laurent was right, if anything did ever happen to Dwayne, i would do anything in my power to get revenge on the people who caused it, no matter the outcome and effect it would have on me.

"but did Laurent ever try to kill Bella?" I asked, looking directly at Edward.

"Yeah, when I was away he got sort of compelled under Victoria's trap like Tiley did, and tried to kill her but luckily Jacob and his pack ran him off, surely he is okay now though." Edward laughed, you could tell Edward still wasnt over what happened with Bella and Laurent where together, the hint of sarcasm in his laugh showed he was a little angry over it.

"yeah" Laurent replied.

"your lucky your still alive then" Dwayne spoke sternly at Laurent.

"so, we have exactly four hours before the Lennox's shall arrive  in Santa Cruz, to avoid contact, we should go feed soon." Max shouted over the top of everyone, interrupting every one's conversations.

i was snapped out of my thoughts by Dwayne moving his hands of my thigh and onto my hand as he squeezed them.

"have no worry, they will only be looking around where we would usually be, but there's protection all around the cave, and any homes they could intrude" Max announced as everyone applauded Martha.

"when will the fight break out?" Jasper asked as Alice grabbed a sheet of paper, walking to a table and grabbing charcoal as she let her thoughts out on the sheet.

"in two days time" Max spoke, nodding.

"what is Alice doing?" Marko asked as Jasper walked behind her, placing his hand over her lower back as she moved the charcoal, viciously over the paper.

"shes had an image, she sees things, almost similar to Angelica, but she clearly now knows where the fight will break out" Rosalie smiled as she looked back at everyone's eyes on Alice and Jasper's back.

As i was sat, everyone crowded around me as Alice and Jasper walked over.

the place was surrounded on the beach, a few trees in the distance, four bikes and two cars where parked, with two sides standing opposite each other.

"that's where i first fed, i saw this too, its where most of my thoughts have been" i said.

"how did she first even evolve the thoughts?" Jacob asked Dwayne as i continued to stare into the paper, tracing the small dunes.

"my dad, my dad gave me them, runs through and he decided to share his powers with me." i continued as i looked up at Carslile and Alice.

"before the fight, you had them?" Alice looked at me through confusion.

"yes" i spoke.

"her dad gave her the powers, but the powers aren't supposed to show you where it is, its supposed to show you what could happen, not a definite fact" Alice worriedly added as she looked around everyone.

"so what does that mean?" Stefan asked, looking at Alice and me as fear and worry plastered my face.

"it means her dad is helping her" Martha spoke as everyone looked at me in shock, tears falling slowly down my face.

my dad never wanted to fight, i knew that. but he is helping us, he is showing me what i need to remember and what is going to happen, he is showing me what is going to happen in the fight.
