if adelia were to describe what they were, it was definitely not friends. It was people who were getting to know each other as more than friends, not as friends. they went back home together with amar sometimes which made adelia feel out of place and she swore to never do it again.

due to the holiday, her class got pushed to a different day so instead of meeting one time a week, she met him twice that week. the other hotel lab had random seats and since Adelia came almost on time, she couldn't really choose a seat that she wanted. it was either the front or the back and she hates sitting in the front. It made her feel insecure and her neck will be sore from looking up.

so she chose the back seat and the friend that she always sits with in the class sat at the front so both of them were separated. and when she sat down, she just realised that he was sitting on her right. Adelia panicked but she managed to listen during class and did some of her club work. he did look at her computer to see what she was doing and he did the same thing, she did poke him since that is what she always liked to do.

On the second day of practical class that week, the food court that Ethan always liked to visit had closed down temporarily as not many people were visiting it and the school was trying to minimise contact. so the whole class except for one who said that she wasn't hungry, gathered at the main canteen. As if it was planned, there were three groups sharing food with each other while the rest were eating their own food. Adelia had decided to share it with her friends and they had bought water first while waiting for their food. When Adelia came back with her friends to the table where her classmates were sitting, she realised that he had sat on her left.

She panicked and was thankful for the gaps that the bench had. She never expected to sit beside him and that was when she said when she texted him that night. everything was going fine and as if things were slowly breaking around her, her shoe bag was spoilt and earphone input on her phone had spoilt. that means she could only use wireless earphones which cost almost her allowance per month. she couldn't afford that, but she knew that she couldn't live with music. going to school and coming back from school was dreading as I had to hear what the people around her were saying. she couldn't shut the world anymore.

that weekend, they met. it was only because he wanted to buy shoes that he needed for their practical class. he couldn't find where he lived and adelia mentioned how she saw one near where she lived. he didn't want to travel far as they both live an hour from each other. so she went out first and checked whether the shop sold the shoes that he was looking for. Luckily for Adelia, the shoes were there so he made his way to her. While waiting, Adelia bought some drinks and went all the way to a convenience store at the petrol station where she had to take the bus just to buy food.

She had miscalculated the bus so she had to walk back to where the train station was to meet him. It was awkward when she met him since it was their first time meeting outside of school. so they bought shoes, walked in circles under blocks, bought some food to eat and since there were no places for them to sit around and eat. Adelia offered to go somewhere near her house as there were places to sit.

Adelia was feeling down lately so she needed a hug these days and she expressed it to him, and he almost hugged her in public but she pushed him away slightly. there were people watching and she didn't want to hug him just yet. plus, it was actually hot so she was sticky. they finally reached where adelia lived since they took the bus, a double decker one. Adelia always wondered if the bus hated her or something because whenever she wanted a double decker for her to fall asleep, they gave her a single bus every single time. they finally reached and sat at a bench eating the food that they bought. before they both sat, he gave her an overdue hug that he owed her. Adelia thought that the food he bought was for himself but it was actually to share with her, and she didn't want it at first, but he had already fed her so she couldn't refuse.

once they were finished, they walked and walked exploring the place where adelia lived. The converse that she wore that day was already loose and she has never had a blister with that shoe. but she did, she had a blister due to her socks that were pulling down and the fact that she walked too much. even her legs were sore when she reached home but it was all worth it. She sent him to where the train station was and he was anticipating something. a hug.

he hugged her and she hugged back. her insides were flipping, she likes it and she cannot wait to see him again.

from having calls to weekends, it then changed to a daily call. They watched many movies together, finished some shows together. and that was when he asked. if they would date first to see how it goes in the long term.
