Episode Two: The Heist

It began raining as the four of us drove to the construction sight near the surf sight where Gavin and Ward were meeting. We peaked over the fence as Pope pulled out an old video camera.
"Nice camera." JJ commented, sarcasm dripping off his voice. "Where'd you dig up that relic? Why don't you use your phone?"
"Well, first of all, I like my antique electronics. Second of all, this is a telephoto. It allows me to get a close image from far away." Pope explains.
"Lord of the dorks." Kie rolled her eyes.
"For definitive proof of witness payoff, we're gonna need quality glass." Pope added.
"As long as this piece of shit gets locked up forever and John B and Sarah can come home, I'm fine with the fossil camera." I shrugged.
"There he is." Pope points, getting his camera ready. We watched as Ward held a bag in his hand as he ran towards the meeting place.
"Yo, get down." JJ ordered. We ducked down but enough to still see what was going on. Gavin quickly followed behind Ward.
"There's Gavin." Pope pointed out. "Where are you going, you son of a bitch?" We saw the two men run inside and we couldnt see them anymore. "No, no, no, no. I'm losing him."
"Shit, where are they going?" I raked my fingers through my hair in frustration.
"Hold on." JJ uttered, looking for another way we can see them. He whistles to get our attention. "Yo! Hey. I found something. Come here." We followed him through the little opening in between buildings. "Gotta go up top." The four of us started climbing a ladder to the roof of the buildings.
"Hurry, don't wanna miss anything." Kie rushed as we both climbed the stairs. We crouch down behind the store sign as the rain comes down on us hard and thunder is crackling.
"You rolling, Pope?" JJ questioned.
"Tell us what you see." I stated.
"Are you getting it?" Kie inquired.
"Yeah. Yeah, I see them." Pope said, looking through the camera, making sure he caught everything on tape for Shoupe. "Ward just handed Gavin something. I think it's a duffel bag."
