This takes place during another one of Kaz's heists. It's before Wylan and Jesper confess their feelings for each other. Enjoy!

"We need 3 rooms, each with 2 twin beds." Kaz said, setting a bag of kruge onto the counter.

"Last three." The man on the other side said in a gruff voice, sliding three keys across the counter before returning to a book in his hands. Kaz nodded and the crows moved towards the hall.

The motel was eerie, dimly lit and cold. They had finished yet another heist of Kaz but they needed a place to hide for tonight until a certain merchant left Ketterdam. Kaz had assigned room mates: Nina and Inej, Matthias and Kaz, and Wylan and Jesper.

Kaz started distributing the keys. Giving one to Inej and Wylan, keeping one for himself.

"We'll meet outside at 7:30 tomorrow." Kaz said, dismissing them all.

The crows split up into their pairs and headed to their rooms. Soon the other two were in the rooms but Wylan and Jesper kept walking down the hallway towards their room which was at the back. When they finally got to their room, Wylan sat down his bags to unlock the door. He swung it open and stepped in, Jesper right behind him.

They sat their bags down in the corner before moving to survey the room. There was a small rotting, wood desk sitting by the door with a chair that was missing a leg. The light on the ceiling flickered slightly, just enough to bother a person. There was a door that probably led to a bathroom on one wall and a small window on the other. There was a spot that someone patched on the ceiling and another on the wall by the window. There was a lamp on either side of the bed, one without a shade.

Both boys seemed to notice that at the same time. There was one, full size bed in the room. Not two twin. They looked at each other.

"I could sleep on the floor." Jesper offered, scratching the back of his neck and moving the grab one of the pillows. He moved the bed slightly with his leg on accident and cockroaches ran from underneath it and to the bottom of the desk.

"I don't think that's the best idea. There are those cockroaches and I'm pretty sure I saw rat poop in the hall." Wylan said. "We might have to share." He turned red and was studying the ground.

Both of the boys were too tired to talk about it more. Wylan started pulling down the thin comforter and Jesper turned on the bedside lamps and turned off the ceiling light.

Wylan went into the bathroom to change while Jesper changed in the bedroom. When Wylan finished changing, he called out the door.

"Can I come out?"

"Sure, I'm done." Jesper called back.

When Wylan opened the door, he stopped in his tracks when he saw what Jesper was wearing.

He was standing with his back to him, putting his clothes into his bag. He had a pair of pajama pants on but his shirt was... nonexistent. Jesper's back was covered in lean muscle. They rises when he moved his arm, casting shadows on his skin in the dim lamp light. There were several scars from what Wylan assumed were bullet wounds at one point.

The door behind Wylan hit the wall and Jesper looked over at him, noticing his lingering eyes.

"Like what you see, merchling?" He smirked seeing Wylan frazzled.

Wylan was about to reply when Jesper turned and stood at his full height. This exposed even more lean muscle and Wylan felt himself heating up.

"I- um- well-maybe." Wylan finally got a word out and looked at the floor. He finally looked up to see Jesper slightly blushing.
