Notes: Italics for flashback. (Everyone keeps asking about the kiss scene of Mark and Haechan, so I thought it would be nice to add the missing scene in this chapter. Hope you'll enjoy this chapter and yeah, here we go..;)

“you sure Matt will be okay on his own?” Haechan bit his pinkie. The habit he would do when he was nervous. It was quite bad that Renjun had to slap his hand each time he tried to bite his nail or his hands. But Haechan would say that it was more like a tic, not that he do it intentionally.

Of course he was nervous. To be alone in the car with Mark suffocates him for some reason. But not in a bad way.

It was Mark's plan after all. The Alpha said that it was an apology dinner and Haechan thought this was a good opportunity for him to fix Mark and Donghyuck's friendship. Though he was baffled by the sudden apology dinner invitation. They've already made up a few days ago and why would the Alpha still be up for it? But, Haechan doesn't care. As long as there was free food, then he was fine with anything.

Or, maybe he was going to make it more complicated.

“don't worry. He should be asleep at this hour. After all, he's brave, just like me,”

But it only made Haechan laugh. Mark was brave? Was he pulling his leg? Last week, the latter was hiding his face behind the cushion the whole time when they watched The Nun.

“—I don't think he taking that after you. He probably took after his mom...” Haechan automatically brought his hand to his mouth, knowing that it was probably a sensitive issue that he shouldn't bring up. Blame his savageness for blurting everything that came up in his mind.

But Mark chuckled, he didn't look like he was pissed off, “what do you mean by that? He's my son, of course he'll be just like me,” then, a sulky look swept across Mark's face, but Haechan knew the Alpha was joking.

And silence filled the atmosphere again. Haechan was afraid to say something, and Mark he was focussing on the road.

“...so, what do you want for dinner?” Mark asked again, trying to break the silence. Then, he continued, “—oh, sorry. I mean, where do you want to go for dinner Mr. Donghyuck?” knowing Donghyuck, the latter was quite a picky eater. All in all, Donghyuck always prefers homemade food rather than eating at the restaurant.

“I don't know. Why don't you pick somewhere? You're the one who asks me for dinner...”

Mark looked shocked. “...wow...this is something new. Since when you're like this?”

Haechan however tried to remain calm. How can he tell Mark he couldn't pick a restaurant because he didn't know any around here.

Then, a brilliant idea came across his mind, “...do you mind if we have a mini picnic somewhere?”
