After 10 minutes of stumble-walking down the steep slope, they finally arrived at the bottom of the ravine. The air was so calm yet creepy for some reason. Dimly stars twinkled in the sky. The moonlight was muddy through the grey clouds. Maybe if they die here, nobody would find their bodies.

"Jeno, can you pass me the bag?" after a series of curses to the torchlight, Jaemin turned around when there was no response from his mate.

"Jeno?" But, there was nobody behind, "—where are you?" Jaemin screamed.

Donghyuck and Renjun stopped right away as they heard Jaemin was screaming for Jeno.

"—he's not here, guys"

Donghyuck slumped to a rock on the other side of the riverbed.

"maybe he was left behind. You know how slow can he be, right?" Renjun said, trying his best to stay positive as he could.

"yeah, let's wait for a while, " Donghyuck agreed and Jaemin could only nod weakly.

Donghyuck blinked into the bluish darkness. He knew it already. The whole camping idea was really bad. And now the smiling eyes Alpha was missing. And what was next? Someone trying to kill them?

Renjun stood next to Jaemin as he tried to calm the Omega.

"what are we going to do? What if Jeno—, " but Jaemin couldn't finish his words when Renjun suddenly butted in,

"trust me, Jeno is going to be just fine. He's an Alpha after all, "

Jaemin shook his head as he cried, "but Jeno is really bad at direction. He might be getting lost, " he cried louder after that, "—I shouldn't let him stay behind,"

"God!" Renjun whispered as if he was done with Jaemin.

Jaemin shook his head, probably thinking about something bad that might happen to Jeno, "we have to get to him. We have to see if he's okay, "

Donghyuck seriously wanted to say 'no' but then again, he understood. Jaemin was an Omega, and it was his nature as an Omega to act that way when his mate was gone missing.

Then Donghyuck sighed, "maybe we should split up to look for Jeno, " then, he gestured to his left, "—I'll go that way,"

Jaemin wiped his tears, "—I — I'll go right, "

"I'm going back to the car, " Renjun had no choice than going back to the car.

Donghyuck was about to say something, but Renjun had already spun around, and he had no choice but to look for Jeno.

Everyone headed off in opposite directions. Donghyuck could only sigh. Why did he say 'yes' in the first place?

It was not that he was afraid that someone might kill him or such, but he had a really bad memory of something that calls as 'camping'. It happened that he was once broke his arm during his school days. And now, he was still traumatized because of it.

He gulped in air and rubbed his hands together as he slowly walked. This was going to be a long night.

Suddenly, Donghyuck heard a thin, small sound to his right.
