Haechan found Mark in the kitchen, drinking a glass of water. He had been oddly quiet when he was home, half an hour ago.

"you want something to eat?" Haechan asked as he walked past the Alpha and opened the fridge. Looking at something that he could use for cooking.

"no, " Mark simply answered as he stared at Haechan, even though the Omega was still looking through the fridge.

"so—, " Mark began, feeling anxious for no specific reason "— why is Hendery here?"

Trying hard not to make it obvious, though he was curious about the answer. Seriously, he found it awkward and troubled to see Hendery tailing 'Donghyuck' around like that. Thank God he wasn't here right now with them.

But luckily, Haechan didn't notice any of that. In fact, he was pretty sure enjoying Hendery's company. Hendery was a good-looking Alpha after all. After all, flirting was Haechan's middle name.

"helping me with something," Haechan said, just like what Donghyuck told him before.

"what kind of help?" starting to get annoyed, Mark harshly placed his glass down. "— I mean, is it necessary for him to follow you like that?"

Haechan was too preoccupied with the ingredients that he didn't even notice Mark was quite upset with it.

But then, Mark's expression softened just a little.

"— you know, I can help if you want me to—, " if he lends his help, maybe he could get rid of Hendery out of his sight. Why didn't he think about this earlier?

Haechan closed the fridge and turned to face Mark. He chuckled, "no, it's okay. It's his job anyway, " placing a bowl of watermelon in front of Mark, he smiled. "— but thanks for the offer, " which somehow made the Alpha blush.

Feeling his cheeks heating up, Mark took the glass, nearly drank an empty glass, which earned a giggle from the Omega.

"what's wrong with you? Are you okay?" brought his face closer to the Alpha, Haechan so-called active mind couldn't even tell why the Alpha seemed tense around him.
