Today was great. A really good day. I was walking to my car when dad called. Ehh. What does he wants now. I answered.
"Dad?" I said.
"Hey, Carly your sister came back to town today and she's engaged." He said.
"Impressing." I said. "Someone can stand her."
"Be nice. We are all going to dinner tonight. So be there." He said.
"You can count on it." I said.
"That's my girl." he said.
He gets on my nerves I do what o can not to let my family down. Our family is so judge mental. I try to impress them because they have faith in me.
At dinner mom didn't show up. She had to finish reviewing a new case so she wasn't coming to dinner at all. Which this is great for me because I have to deal with them. Alone. I entered and saw dad and the two love birds sitting across the table from each other. I was put right next to Kara's fiancé. I sat down slowly looking at him. Man he was gorgeous.
"Carly this is Dean, Kara's fiancé." Dad introduced him.
"I'm dean." Dean offered his hand.
"I'm Carly." I smiled.
"So appreciation game?" He asked us.
"Yes." Kara said.
"You only play when your about to when." He smiled.
"I wonder where I learned that from." She raised her eyebrows at dad.
"I'm lost." Dean said.
"You'll catch on." I assumed.
"Court was a success. I have a new case and I'm getting twice the money." He said.
"That's fantastic." Kara said trying to be daddy's innocent angel.
"What about you Carly?" She smiled trying to look innocent.
"Two As on my assessments and m already picking college classes." I said.
It was silent for a while. Like I said, Its never good enough for my family they don't say it but I know it. Looks like there end isn't an end.
