I woke up one hour and a half later than usual. Normally, dad and me run on Tuesdays to his office and I run back home change, and drive to school. Today, when I woke up dad was already gone. He probably didn't wake me because he was mad at me for making out with Kara's boyfriend but I didn't make the first move. Even though I explained what happened to Kara, mom and dad no one believed me. I could see that Kara was mad for not doing anything about it until she saw what happened. Dad actually liked Dean which was surprising to our family knowing that he didn't like anyone me or Kara dated. Ever.
I put my sweats on and got my headphones and my phone and walked downstairs.
I peeked into the kitchen and saw Kara sitting at the table scrolling down her Facebook. Mom and Kara were having a conversation so I waited until it was quiet for five seconds to walk into the room.
"Morning." I said with my head down.
"Morning." Mom replied.
Kara grabbed a whole stack of wedding magazines.
"Excuse me." Kara said angrily pushing me.
"Dad left without me?" I said. "Why didn't he just knock on my door?"
"He was up early with Kara and I and we were throwing out some of Deans stuff." Mom said.
"And apparently you weren't with them." Kara said threw her teeth.
"How many times did I have to tell you I'm sorry. He made the moves on me!" I said.
"It's to early." Mom said. But Kara didn't listen.
"And you didn't do anything you sat there while he was putting his tongue down your throat!" She shouted angrily. I grabbed my waffles and my phone hoping mom would let me eat in my room like she usually does.
"Where are you going?" Mom said.
"To my room." I answered.
"Not with that plate." She told me. "I just changed your bedspread. Sit at the table."
"Mom, I don't think I'm welcome here." I said.
"Put you were welcome into Deans mouth." Kara said. Mom sighed.
"Go get ready for school and I'll make you something to go." Mom said.
I got ready for school with a black top with ruffles on it and blue jeans with black vans. I still couldn't believe Kara is mad at me for something her boyfriend did. I didn't stick my tongue down his throat. He stuck his tongue done mine so, why am I taking the blame for it? Err. What a way to start a day.
I got to school and went to my locker in silence. As I opened two books fell out. I bent down slowly to get one of the books when Claire bent down and handed me the other one.
"Thanks." I said slowly picking myself back up.
"You okay?" She asked.
"I had the worst morning." I said.
"What happened." She said.
"Let's just say is the anyway your family would adopt me?" I asked.
"What's happening to you?" Claire asked.
"Nothing it's just--" I stopped talking. I turned my head and saw Tyler Ray.
Tyler Ray and Amy never got along. They were enemies for a long time. I remember how we were trying on clothes one time to go a party and Amy swore on her life she saw Tyler peeking throw my window and saw all of us changing. Then we had got dress for the party and before we walked to the party we stopped in front of Tyler's house. We watched Amy trash it. Then Amy put baby oil on the porch thinking he was going to come out any minute. But it wasn't him who came to the door first. It was Jamie. I know that I didn't mention this before but Jamie is Tyler's stepsister. After Tyler's mom suicide death his dad married Jamie's mom. I guess Amy has a family enemy on her hands.
After Jamie and Tyler turn the corner Claire and I now our heads waiting for them to get down the hallway.
"When did he get back?" Claire whispered.
"I'm not sure." I said. Then Marilyn and Rachel walk toward us threw the crowd.
"So, they're all coming back." Marilyn said.
"But why?" Rachel asked.
"Everyone's coming back second by second as if she's still here." Claire said.
Not knowing Jamie was walking past us we continued to whisper things.
"Whisper, whisper, whisper." Jamie said. "It seems as if Amy's still here."
She kept walking as we stared at her.
"Why is she staying here!" Marilyn said.
"They're all here." Rachel said. "Even Tyler."
"I saw him too." Marilyn said.
"I'm pretty sure we all did." Claire said.
"Umm Marilyn I talked to your principal and she said we could talk." Dean interrupted with a smile. God, I wanted to smack his face so bad.
"No way!" Marilyn said. "I have to go to class."
"Don't worry you're excused." He told her. She walked down the hall toward the conference room.
"Have a good day ladies." Dean said and followed Marilyn down the hall.
We waited to speak until we watched him walk down the hallway into the conference room. He turned around and shut the door.
"Why just her?" Claire asked.
"I'm surprised he didn't take all of us." I said.
"Yea, I wonder what's going on." Rachel said. Then the bell rang.
"We'll figure it out later." I assumed. We all left to go to class.
