I woke up with a shining sun in my window. I turned over to glance at my phone to check how much time I had left to sleep. Shit. I was late again. I thought so fast. I had only fifteen minutes until the bell rang and the doors to my school were locked. I dressed myself in Hollister jeans, black vans, and a pink shirt that said "Love" in cursive. Then, I grabbed my car keys, purse and my phone with the charger and ran out the door.
I drove to school without a doubt I knew I shit, is exactly what I looked like. When I arrived I got out the car locked the doors and ran quickly to the girls bathroom. I barged in and saw all my friends standing in front of the mirror doing the hair, makeup, mostly the usual. Most of the time I wonder who I love most and what's important. I was told that you love family and keep each other close because of what was in our blood but my family never was. Ever. I consider family stubborn and legit. My family corrects every little fucking mistake because they believe making mistakes doesn't make you perfect but who in the hell is. But when we get into arguments it splits us, like now. Anyways, I have I have four close friends Claire, Amy, Rachel, and Marilyn. Out of all of them Claire was my favorite. She's equal and encouraging. Not that the rest aren't but she understood everyone.
"You look like shit." Marilyn insulted.
"Thanks" I rolled my eyes.
"I'm sorry I'm late." I said.
"What'd you do sleep on some rocks last night?" Amy joked.
I fixed my hair and applied reddish-pink lipstick with black eyeliner and mascara.
"Who's car are we taking to the party tonight?" Amy asked raising her eyebrows.
For a minute we stood there staring at each other leaving Amy out to give that look waiting on someone to answer
" I guess we could take mine" I volunteered to break the silence.
"Evan and Drake are brining the drinks." Amy said.
As all of us four try to send our whatever slash worried look around she caught us fast.
"You know my first party was special. It was on the OutCast Lodge with these guys from NorthWay High." She bragged walking slowly toward the mirror.
"I didn't know you knew anyone there" Claire assumed.
" I didn't know them. I know a friend that goes there or did. She invited me." Amy said.
Right then the bell rang. As much as I wanted to ask who she knew at NorthWay high I didn't. None of us did. Because no one questions her. Ever. Unless she got answers from you she would not get one thing out of her. Out all of us she was the prettiest, the funniest and the one with the most friends and she considers to be our leader. At this point this meant popular. Being popular to her was normal. She used her looks to drag everyone close. She tricks people with her smiles and secrets. One thing I learned about Amy is that she gets what she wants even if she has to do what the major consequences to the one she loves.
