Gakushuu's POV:
"How did I let Ren talk me into this?" I thought to myself while packing my belongings for the upcoming camp. "No, how did I talk my FATHER into this?!" I thought as I made sure to pack everything, I might need for 9 weeks at summer camp.
{One Month Ago}
I was in the student council room signing papers and finishing up some other work when Ren walked in. I shot him a simple glance before looking back at my papers. He approached my desk, "Asano-Kun I have a question," he announced. "Hm? What is it?" I replied cooly glancing at him.
"Would you come with me to summer camp? Its 9 weeks long and loads of fun! There's so much cool stuff to do and I think you would enjoy it along with the break it would provide for you."
'...Summer camp?' I thought to myself.
"I shall ask my father when I get home," with that I packed my bag up and headed to my next class. For the rest of the day I thought about what Ren had said, 'Camp?' I kept thinking to myself all day until I had arrived home. Wait! Father would never let me go to a 9 week summer camp...But, if it's a study camp?
I headed downstairs for supper and sat at the table as usual. "Pass me the salt," my father stated bluntly.
I handed him the salt shaker after using it slightly on my own food. "So, Father..." I began. "Yes?" he responded. "Well, I was wondering if this summer I could go to a 9 week long advanced study camp," I stated, slightly nervous.
After I spoke we both sat in an Awkward silence before my father broke it, "Why? you have all the materials you need right here." That was the answer I knew was coming, so, naturally I had already composed a whole reply in my head, "Well see father, this camp is top notch and has amazing study materials that I could only dream of having here," my statement was followed by another awkward silence.
I hated these awkward silences, they make me feel uneasy, especially around him.
"I'll think about it," was all he said.
{Present Time}
I've never been to a summer camp, It took me at least 2 more weeks after I first had asked my father to FINALLY convince him to let me go to the summer camp, even if I happened to be lying.
"Crap, Wheres my other toothbrush?" I asked myself out loud, slightly annoyed that I couldn't find my other toothbrush. I looked around my bathroom for a minute or two before finding it behind a few things in the cabinet.
Ren and his family would be coming to pick me up to take us to the building where from there a bus would come to take everyone there to the camp.
'Seems a bit much in all honesty, why cant we just drive there ourselves?' I thought to myself as I finished packing up all my bags.
I laid down on my bed and took out my phone to text Ren before I go to sleep.

I set my phone down on its wireless charger, got under the covers, and shut my eyes.
I heard my phone go off with another notification, most likely from Ren, but I decided to ignore it and try and go to sleep.
"Ugh.." I grumbled, my room was way too warm. I'm a hot sleeper so I hate when my room is too warm. However, I told myself to suck it up and continued trying to fall asleep.
When I finally fell asleep it felt like only seconds later my alarm was blaring at me to wake up. I reluctantly got up and went to go brush my teeth and get dressed, when I came back I saw a notification on my phone from Ren. I picked up my phone and read the message out loud,
"Some of the E class is going too btw."
Great, this is going to be a long summer.
