TYSM FOR 600 READS WOW I'M IN SHOCK-

Gakushuu's pov:

Later on I didn't bother going to dinner, instead I went back to the cabin early and messed with different things around the small room to keep me occupied.

I kept thinking about what Karma could possibly have against Daichi, did he know something everyone doesn't? I decided to just ask the red head when he entered the cabin that evening.

As I was looking around I felt pain shoot from my foot suddenly and I realized I had stubbed my toe, "God dammit..!" Why does this hurt so bad?!
I looked to inspect what I had stubbed my toe on and to my slight surprise it was an uneven floorboard.

What the hell? I've never noticed this before...

I got onto the ground and lifted up the floor bored, it seemed there was a hidden compartment underneath. I started looking through the compartment and found an old journal, a book that looked to be practically from the 1800s , a rusty key on a necklace, and a pen.

I'm assuming the pen was used for writing in the journal, or possibly notes on a topic or research? However that key to me is a complete mystery.

Getting back up I set everything I had just discovered onto my bed. I started flipping through the pages of the journal, I saw the name of the person whom this belonged to aswell as the dates on each page, but what I found was shocking.

It was very, almost overly detailed writing about hearing screaming, that same screaming turning to laughter. I decided to keep flipping through the journal and saw the last entry into it was "I think this is the end, I feel like something is right outside my cabin door...watching...waiting...If I die i hope someone finds this notebook." The boy had signed his name at the bottom of the page and that was it.

I could confirm this was the diary of the boy that disappeared all those years ago.

I looked through the book, the topic was supernatural beings, creatures, items and curses. I found pages on all different different curses, items, creatures aswell as strengths of each one, although I found this far fetched seeing as I don't believe in the supernatural.

Then I flipped to a page containing details about a creature having the ability to manipulate the human mind into hearing things and lure them away once they are desperate for it to stop.
Then a page containing information on a cursed item that looked like a small rusty candle holder and is said that whomever comes in contact with it shall contract the curse of pure misfortune. Also the text stated this artifacts location is unknown, aswell as the original owner of it was someone who worked with the super natural and curses.
Okay, this gave me the chills, I pulled my blanket over myself and continued reading.

That's when I saw it.

The back side of that page had names written, each with a red slash through them. I recognized the most recent name almost instantly. That was the name of the boy who the journal belonged to, so it's only a matter of time before it's someone here now's turn.

So someone at this camp is doomed with no escape, and no known way to stop this. Then again, this could be just some sick prank. I considered that option awhile but my gut was telling me this was for real.

I shut the book and put it to the side, trying to concentrate on something else.
Inspecting the key, I still have no idea or leads what this could be used for. Looking a bit more at this old key before putting it all  back into the floorboard compartment.

It seemed almost as soon as I finished putting that floorboard back in place Karma opened the cabin door, quickly walked inside and somewhat harshly shut the door.
"How was dinner?" I asked sitting back on my bed when he didn't respond I tried again.
"Didn't you go?" I looked at the red head sighing he simply replied, "I skipped."

"Why didn't you go?" "Wasn't hungry I guess..did you?.." The red head trailed off before laying face down on his bed. slightly confused I mumbled "No.."
Did something happen? Something with Daichi? Or possibly one of his friends?

Karma turned his head to look at me while laying on his stomach, I tried to study his emotions to figure out what had maybe upset the redhead but I was drawing a blank.

"Karma, did something happen?"

"None of your business Number 2.."

"Did something happen with Daichi?" I saw the red heads expression change slightly and he began stare at me, that was it.

"What do you have against him?"

Guys I'm sorry the chapter is shorter than usual, I had random motivation to write another chapter! yAyy- Anyways thank you all for the support and love due to my brothers passing. I'm back to writing a bit sooner than expected I suppose!
Thats all for now.
