Julie: ok so your dad birthday was a couple of days a go so what do you want to do with him

Savannah: how about we make him his favorite dinner and we can go to the park and then when we come home we can watch his favorite movie

Julie: ok but we have to do that when he's not working

Savannah: ok

Julie: so what did you get for your dad birthday

Savannah: I got him some shirts and shoes and his favorite candy to eat

Julie: awesome

Savannah: what did you get dad for his birthday

Julie: I got him some body wash and a shaving kit and his favorite thing to do

Savannah: his favorite thing to do is work

Julie: I know but he has to provide for us and I work all the time

Savannah: I know but your job doesn't take you away from your family

Julie: Savannah

Savannah: mom it's the truth

Julie: I know how about we don't talk about this and we can just enjoy your dad birthday and we can talk about this conversation another time ok

Savannah: ok

Bret: hey what are you guys doing

Julie: we are making your favorite food and we thought since it's Summer time we can go to the park for a couple of hours

Bret: yeah that sounds like a great idea

Julie: ok I will be getting some snacks ready for the park

Bret: ok

At the park

Savannah: I'm going on the swings

Julie: ok

Bret: be careful and don't talk to strangers

Savannah: ok dad

Bret: are you alright

Julie: yeah why do you ask

Bret: you seem tired and moody

Julie: I am a little

Bret: do you want to talk about it

Julie: it's Savannah

Bret: what about her

Julie: she's just wondering why your job takes you out of state and away from home while I stay here and work in the state

Bret: she said that

Julie: yes

Bret: I'm going to go talk to her

Julie: Bret don't

Bret: why not

Julie: because I told her not to talk about it right now and talk about it another time and to enjoy your birthday and your day off

Bret: ok

At the house

Bret: ok so I had an amazing day with both of my girls and a ate amazing food that my wife has made for us to eat

Julie: thank you

Bret: now on to the birthday presents

Julie: ok I will go first I got you some body wash and a shirt and a shaving kit

Bret: thank you Julie for the presents

Julie: your welcome Savannah honey would you like to give your dad his gifts

Savannah: yeah sure I got you dad a shirt and your favorite candy to eat and I made a picture for you

Bret: thank you Savannah

Savannah: your welcome

Julie: is there anything else that you would like or want to do

Bret: no not really

Julie: ok Savannah can you clean up in here and wash the dishes for me please

Savannah: yeah sure

Julie: thank you

Later that night

Julie: did you had a good birthday

Bret: yes I did

Julie: what was your favorite thing to do today

Bret: to spend time with my favorite girls

Julie: thank you

Bret: your welcome

Julie: night

Bret: night
