They decided to leave around noon that day. Lightbulb burst through the doors, carrying her backpack, packed to the brim with pastries. Better prepared than sorry.
<a couple of minutes before>
"Hmm, so we got all the food. Unfortunately, this is my only backpack, so where will we hide you in... aha!"
<flash back to present>
"So nobody can see me?" Fan said.
"Yeah! The invisibility should work for a couple more minutes!" Lightbulb replied quietly.
As Lightbulb walked up to the gate, she noticed her parents. They were talking with the local police officer.
"Have you seen my daughter? She's about 6 feet tall, she has a yellow mane and she's been missing since yesterday!"
Lightbulb froze. She forgot to tell her parents that she stayed at Painty's, and now they were worried. Gosh darn it.
Her dad suddenly looked down at his phone. Confused, Lightbulb watched them from afar. His face lit up.
"Honey, it's okay! She's been staying at her friend's house! Her friend just messaged me!"
How did Painty find out I forgot to tell my parents?
As she was thinking, Paintbrush suddenly appeared behind her, scaring the two in the process. "Hey."
"Painty? I thought you didn't want to come!"
"I changed my mind. And your welcome for saving your ass from being kicked by your parents." Painty smirked, "so let's move!"
Both unicorns (and an invisible boy) left their hometown that day.
