"Gojo Sensei... What did Akio say to you." (y/n) says as she turns back around to the three.
When making eye contact with Gojo, she was surprised to see him smiling, as if he knew a dirty little secret. After a moment of silence between the three, he lets out a sigh and turns his attention to (y/n).
"Do you believe in reincarnation?" He says. Itadori stiffens at his question, while Nanami raises a brow.
"I guess, If curses can exist, then reincarnation can." She says, staggering her words.
(y/n) wasn't sure if it was a trick question. She wasn't sure how to answer him. Itadori looks at her from the corner of his eye, with a furrowed brow.
This is what Sukuna said back at that Inari shrine.
He thought to himself. Its not a coincidence that the mention of 'reincarnation' was said around her twice. Itadori's mind ran wild as he thought of the countless situations.
"Interesting." Gojo says walking behind (y/n). She watched him carefully, not knowing what's on his mind. For a moment, she was afraid of him.
"A birthmark... It's said, you keep the birthmark or injury of your previous life." Gojo places his hand on her head, moving her hair away from her neck.
"Aghh, Gojo Sensei, w-what are you doing?" She tries pulling away from him, but he stops her from fidgeting.
When he sees the 2 small dots on her neck his smiles vanishes from his lips. He instantly releases her and steps back. She cups her neck and looks back at him worried.
"What? What is it? What did you see." She touches around her neck, expecting to feel something, but all she knew that was there were 2 birthmarks she's had since birth.
"Um... Sensei?" Itadori interferes, questioning Gojo. He glances over at her neck, inspecting her two birthmarks.
What's so special about her birthmarks? He thought.
"Akio said, there was a human who fought beside Sukuna. When the human battled with Akio, because they wished to stay beside Sukuna, he left two very fatal wounds on their neck." Gojo says, crossing his brows, as he stared coldly at (y/n).
Her eyes widened as she touches her neck again. Her mind goes blank as she remembers all the times she was with Sukuna. Then that strange scene came into view of the tall curse with for arms and a lady with long black hair. She steps back, almost losing her balance and stares at her palms.
A-are you saying, i'm the human who fought beside Sukuna all those years ago?
Gojo let out an over exaggerated sigh and tilts his head back in pain.
"Sukuna said your memories will come back. Which in simple terms, you'll side with him in the future as you did in the past." Gojo wraps and arm around the now terrified (y/n) and starts laughing.
"Which means, you're on lock down from now on, pretty little Sukuna servant." (y/n) snaps out of her trance pushing Gojo away with a disgusted look in her eye. Gojo raises both his hands, as if he was playfully surrendering to her.
"Sukuna servant! As far as know now, none of those memories have returned. I don't know what my pass self was like nor do I care! I'm me, and I plan to stay me!" She snaps back, clutching the handle of her sword. Gojo watched on in amusement as her words fire at him with no effect. He bursts out laughing and holds his stomach in pain.
"This isn't a joke Gojo!" Nanami says walking up beside (y/n). He places a hand on her shoulder, calming her down a little.
"We aren't a hundred percent sure what this all means, (y/n). We just need to take precautions." Nanami says, as she looks up at him with scared eyes. She was afraid of what would happen to her from now on.The man from earlier stands idle behind the door, listening to their conversation with a smile playing on his lips. He takes his phone from his pocket and dials the first phone number on his contact list.
"Sir, Satoru and Kento are both aware of her reincarnation." He says.
"And the vessel?" A playful voice speaks on the other side of the phone.
The man looks back in the room, only to notice they weren't in sight. He steps out from behind the door and searches the area more.
"Ezume? The vessel?" The voice became more demanding as its patience ran thin. The man jumps at his voice and stutters his response.
"U-um he was here, but-AGhh!" Gojo kicks the man from behind, causing him to fall onto the round table they were all sitting at from before.
"At least be good at the job you're assigned to Ezume." Gojo says walking into the room with his hands in his pocket.
"You!" The man yells, before Gojo interrupts him.
"Knew all along...yes." He grabs the mans shoulders and slams him against the table; the others watching on from behind.
"I found it weird, that this Akio curse knew our exact location. You know, since we were a fare ways away from headquarters." Gojo continues smiling down at the mans' terrified face.
"After the incident, I made sure to overlook every single nook in that village." He bends down to the mans face, enjoying the fear in his eyes.
"Because I knew it was uncanny for curses as strong as them to just be wondering around a village, who's might I say, villagers were given free accommodation in a different town." Gojo snatches his collar, causing the phone in his hands to fall and slide near (y/n)'s foot.
"Personal Intel, did you say?" Gojo continues to say, mocking the man.(y/n) looks down at the phone and picks it up, bringing it to her ear.
"Hi darling. It's been so long. How are you're injuries?" The voice friskily calls out on the other side. She takes the phone away from her ears and stares at it, with her hands shaking.
A-Akio?
She remembered his voice so well. It was a very distinctive voice in her ears, but it terrified her so much.
"Come now, darling. Bring the phone back to your ear." He calls out as the voice muffled in the phone.
Gojo turns his head around, recognizing the same voice. (y/n) looks around at the three, slowly bringing the phone back to her ears.
How does he know I took the phone away? Is he watching?
She couldn't stop shaking as the thought of him and his powers return to her mind.
"That's a good girl. So are you aware now, of who you really are, hmm? I can just sense your fear through this phone, and its agonizing that I can't be there to witness it."
"A-Akio?" She pushes the name out of her lips, while the others all go stiff.
"Yeees. It has been a very long time since I heard my name from your lips, darling. When you tremble it in your voice, I can't help but think of that time so very long ago." Her eyes widen, and at that moment she throws the phone to the floor and smashes it with her foot.
"(y/n)?" Itadori says softly as he watches her body fill with rage and twisted with fear.
He could feel her energy grow and it made him uncomfortable. She started breathing heavily as her mind was locked in a trance.
"Hey!" Gojo yells out. She looks up at him, realizing she was expanding her cursed energy from her body. She takes a few breath before looking at the man behind. He had been knocked out and laid on the floor with a bloody nose.
"What did he say to you?" Gojo looks down at her as her body stopped trembling. She bit her lips and frowned.
"He said nothing. Just that I'm aware now." She looks down, not wanting to make eye contact with anyone.
"He's the type of person who likes to play with it's prey. He just said nonsense, is what I'm saying." She rubs her arm as she remembers the last thing he said.
That time? What time? What the hell happened 1000 years ago?
She looks over at Itadori who looked on in shock. She imagined Sukuna's marks on him, trying to envision a memory of some kind, but nothing happened.
Dammit, I need to remember, or this is going to eat at me.
