It took Heroneka barely ten minutes to get fresh, have a bath and then dress up. By the time she arrived in the hall, Hagrid and Harry were all set to leave for the day.
"Oh please, Hagrid!" Elsa had packed a basket full of pancakes, cookies, fruitcakes and sandwiches for the three. "You must take this with you. Thank you so much for making this easier for us... " She was sobbing now. "It would have been so hard for us to explain Heroneka about... Anything and everything."
"Oh... Mrs Brady..." Hagrid smiled gently at him. "Ol' I want is that the' are happy n' safe." He took the basket beaming at Elsa.
Jane had pulled Harry into a hug. She seemed to be very happy to see him. "Please, never believe that all muggle are bad... If you ever want to.. do come here. You have a home now, alright?"
Heroneka... For some reason felt.. a bit... Angry? No... Jealous! Yes, she was jealous. How come, this boy who had appeared out of nowhere, was now being treated as lovingly as Heroneka?
"I'm ready?" She cleared her throat to get everyone's attention. But... What? Everyone was busy with Harry and Hagrid. And suddenly...
"Are you alright, princess?" Thomas picked her up in his arms from behind. "This is the first time I am going to let you go with... Some.. other person."
Thank God! At least somebody was there. She laughed kissing his cheek. "I'll be back before you know it."
He nodded looking away and settled her down. "Stay with the two, for my sake.. and please don't get lost."
After bidding all of them a final goodbye, Heroneka joined Harry even though she wasn't willing to.
"I will take care of myself." She mumbled as Hagrid called her name, leaving the house.
"Hold Hagrid's hand!" Jane yelled from behind.
"What!"
Harry laughed out loud now. Hagrid turned around to look at Jane. "We'll be fine, Jane."
Heroneka had always had this strange habit of holding hands. Actually, she would hold hands with the person standing next to her. Whenever she was scared... Anxious.. worried.. or uncomfortable... It made her feel like she had someone with her whom she knew already.
They kept walking towards the lake to find a boat. They had to cross the lake in order to reach the main city.
"Um -- Hagrid?" Said Harry, who was walking right behind Heroneka.
"Mm?" said Hagrid, who was walking carefully so that he won't fall on the wet and grassy mud.
"I haven't got any money -- and you heard Uncle Vernon last night ... he won't pay for me to go and learn magic."
"Hey...." Heroneka stopped and turned to look at Harry. "That reminds me about me taking money from Tom... We need to go back Hagrid!"
"Don't worry about that," said Hagrid, looking around at both of them and scratching his head. "D'yeh think yer parents didn't leave yeh anything?"
"But if their house was destroyed --" Harry added instantly.
"They didn' keep their gold in the house, boy! Nah, the first stop fer us is Gringotts. Wizards' bank. Have a pancake, they're smellin' yum yum -- an' I wouldn' say no teh a bit o' the sandwiches, neither."
"Wizards have banks?" Heroneka looked down as they continued walking towards the lake. Hagrid had just given her a fruitcake.
"Just the one. Gringotts. Run by goblins."
