Heroneka and Hermione finally returned to Hogwarts with one day spare for the holidays to end.

"What!" Heroneka snapped at Harry. "What made you think that going out three nights in a row would be good for you?"

Harry had just told her and Hermione her about how he left his dorm to check out the restricted section in the library but ended up finding a magical mirror that showed you your deepest desire. Harry told them that he had seen his parents, while Ron saw himself having everything he dreamed of.

"What would you have done?" Harry asked Heroneka.

To be honest, Heroneka was curious to look into this mirror as well.

"Where is it now?" She asked him. "Do you think we can go there again?"

"Heroneka!" Hermione hissed at her. "None of us are going there again. Didn't you hear what Harry said? Dumbledore doesn't want us to go looking for it again."

She turned back to Harry and Ron. "Anyway, I am a bit disappointed in you both. How could you forget about Nicholas Flamel? You were supposed to look for him."

"We tried," Ron mumbled half-heartedly.

"Did you meet your Godfather?" Harry asked Heroneka.

She knew he was trying to divert Hermione's attention and it had worked. Now Hermione was staring at Heroneka, ready to hear what she had to say about her meeting with her Godfather. She had asked Heroneka while their way back to Hogwarts on the train, but Heroneka had pushed aside the subject.

Now here they were! Harry, Ron and Hermione, all three of them staring at her.

"Well..." Heroneka cleared her throat. "Yeah, I met him."

After Heroneka was done telling what had happened over the holidays and how she had found her father's twin brother, who turned out to be her Godfather, the three of her friends seemed pretty shocked about it.

"I told you Malfoy is a git," Ron muttered to her. "Even Mr Pearlstone wants you to stay away from him."

"Did you drink from the locket to check if it is the purest water?" Asked Harry.

"No, Harry. Even if I did, I won't be able to tell if it is the purest water or not." She responded. "Besides, it is only to be drunk when and if I wake up from a seat or when I'm unable to breathe."

"What about the book?" Asked Hermione. "Did you try reading it?"

"No, Mione." Heroneka exhaled. "I think, I just need some time to digest the fact that my father's brother looks exactly like him and that stayed away from me all these years and now that he thinks I'm old enough to understand what he has to say, he is back in my life. He is here to make sure that I wake up every time after I experience a death."

Ron, Harry and Hermione didn't say anything after that. What could they possibly say? To make them feel better Heroneka changed the topic and started talking about Nicholas Flamel again.

They had almost given up hope of ever finding Flamel in a library book.

"I'm sure I have read his name somewhere," he told Heroneka. "I just can't put my finger on it."

Once term had started, they were back to skimming through books for ten minutes during their breaks. Harry had even less time than the other two because Quidditch practise had started again. Hermione had assured him that she would help Harry with his homework.

Harry had told them how Wood was working for the team harder than ever. Even the endless rain that had replaced the snow couldn't dampen his spirits. The Weasleys complained that Wood was becoming a fanatic, but Harry was on Wood's side. If they won their next match, against Hufflepuff, they would overtake Slytherin in the house championship for the first time in seven years.
