Meeting The Godfather

Christmas was coming. One morning in mid-December, Hogwarts woke to find itself covered in several feet of snow. The lake froze solid and the Weasley twins were punished for bewitching several snowballs so that they followed Quirrell around, bouncing off the back of his turban. The few owls that managed to battle their way through the stormy sky to deliver mail had to be nursed back to health by Hagrid before they could fly off again.

Amid the cold chaos, Heroneka received a letter one morning. She and Hermione were up and already in the Great Hall. Harry and Ron hadn't shown up yet. Christmas vibes were beginning to swell around. And so was Draco's anger. He had been giving Heroneka a hot angry look every time he saw her.

"You shouldn't have given him your locket." Hermione reminded her. "I mean you could have taken it back, at least."

Heroneka had shown Draco her locket that was the property of the angelic witch during the Gryffindor versus Hufflepuff Quidditch match but had forgotten to take it back since she had dashed off to check on Snape. Draco was angry for her behaviour with him and had stopped talking to her at all. Also, he was now wearing her locket around his neck all the time which pissed Heroneka even more.

"I wish he'd stop wearing it." Heroneka took a sip from the hot cup of tea looking up at the Slytherin table. "Why does he keep staring at me if he doesn't want to talk?"

Hermione was sitting opposite her and turned her head to check on Draco. He looked away faster than a Nimbus Two Thousand.

"Just get your locket back before he leaves for the holidays, alright?" Hermione suggested her. "You can't trust him enough to let him take it home. Imagine his parents see it and... They do something to it."

"Mione!" Heroneka felt offended. "They care about me. They'd never hurt --"

"It's cold today!"

Harry and Ron had just joined them on the Gryffindor table. And, it seemed Harry was upset already.

"So?" He began to butter a toast. "Has your admirer decided to return you your property yet?"

"Oh, stop it, Harry," Hermione warned him.

"I can try to get it for you?" Said Ron.

"How?" Heroneka raised an eyebrow. "He is not even talking to me."

"Ahha" Harry exclaimed. "Seems like I don't need to read the Daily Prophet for some good news."

"Stop it, will you?" Heroneka elbowed him.

Suddenly the hooting noise filled the air and a bunch of weather-beaten owls crashed on different tables at once. One of them crashed right in front of Heroneka and sprayed Harry's face with some orange juice.

"You're done with breakfast, I see." Ron almost choked on the toast he was chewing.

Heroneka helped the big brown barn owl get up and offered him some water. He had dropped an envelope that was now being ripped open by Hermione. Ron joined in to read the letter to himself too.

"This is addressed to you." She nodded at Heroneka. "It says..... Ummm.." She handed it to Heroneka across the table. Ron and Hermione exchanged a look which made Heroneka a bit nervous.

Heroneka took the letter from and Harry peered along to have a look.

My dear Princess,

I'm so grateful that I can send an owl to you. All thanks to your Godfather. He is staying at our house for Christmas. We wanted to introduce you to him officially. We all are waiting for you to arrive home for Christmas and have lots of fun.
