The next few days were a crazy bustle of planning for the premiere. It was only 24 hours away now and my anxiety had been creeping up on me. I hadn't given Lindy very long to find an outfit for me to wear for the night but nevertheless she managed to find something last minute.
As I hand the group of mothers their coffees, Millie can't help but explode with questions about the premiere that she had been conjuring up over the last few days.
"So you're going with him, but it is not a date? Don't you think people will speculate that you are together?" She asks and I finish handing the mugs filled with various types of coffees before answering, not wanting the mothers to hear.
"Yes Millie, I have bought about that, but at the end of the day I'm going, whether the press like it or not. They can say what they like". She grins at my new found confidence and chuckles when she sees a toned figure enter the cafe. "We'll go get him tiger, now's your chance!". She nudges me to look up, locking eyes with an excited looking Taron, dressed in sweatpants and a white tshirt, paired with a baseball cap and an overnight bag. His toned muscles peeking through the tight tshirt, causing me to stare for what felt like forever. Before I had a chance to say anything in response to Millie, she runs out the back letting out a playful laugh, hiding behind the door frame so that she can listen to the conversation that was about to unfold.
"You ready for tomorrow?" Taron asks as he makes his way to the counter. I put the tray down and turn to face him before letting out an audible sigh. "I'm getting there. I still don't even know if my dress fits me properly. Or how my hair or makeup will look. Or even what I'm doing". I nervously chuckle as I untie my apron and hang it on the hook of the back door. I catch a glimpse of Millie who raises her eyebrows as few times playfully. I glare at her before I grab my bag and return to the conversation.
"Y/n, you need to stop worrying! You'll be fine. Besides, you'll be with me and I'll make sure your first premiere is amazing". He flashes me another wink and I go weak in the knees. My god this man. He pulls out his phone as I put on my denim jacket and he reads off his itinerary for the next few hours.
"Right, so the car will be here in an hour to pick us up and take us to the hotel where Lindy will be. Then you can try on your dress and make sure you are all set." I nod my head to show that I understand and we both make our way back to my flat to pick up the last remaining things I need for the next few nights.
When we get to the hotel, Lindy is there to greet us both, holding a garment bag with my dress in. "Hey Lindy!" Taron says as he greets her with a big hug. "This is y/n". He holds out his arm to bring me forward as he says my name. "Hiya, lively to meet you!" I say as I shake Lindy's hand. She hands you the garment bag and we both follow her up to our rooms. Mine and Taron's rooms are conveniently opposite each other.
"Ok so y/n, do you want to go and try on your dress and then we can make any last minute alterations?" Lindy asks and I nod my head, taking the bag into my room and holding the door so Taron and Lindy can follow me in. The room is bigger than any room I had stayed in before; a small seating area in one corner of the room and a large queen sized bed in the centre. I couldn't believe that this massive space was all mine. Lindy takes a seat on the small sofa in the corner of the room while Taron instantly makes himself comfortable, laying on the bed. I can't help but laugh how easy Taron can make himself feel at home. I make my way to the bathroom to try on my dress.
I zip up the dress and stand back so most of my upper body was visible in the mirror. I run my hands over the soft black fabric and smile. I felt like a princess. I had never worn a dress this pretty (and probably this expensive) in my life and let's say I was not ready to take it off anytime soon. I take a deep breath and open the door to the bathroom. Taron is still laying on the bed, scrolling through his phone but his focus is disrupted when he hears me enter the room. He looks up from his phone and does a double take, his mouth opening slightly at the sight before him.
"Wow" was the only word he could manage to get out. Lindy looks over at him and chuckles before making her way closer to me to inspect the fit of the tight dress on my petite body. She drags me to the full length mirror and begins talking about the few alterations she needs to make to the dress, but all I could think about was Taron's reaction.
I make a few small glances his way and his expression is the same as I was when I first walked out of the bathroom. He looks up and meets my eyes in the mirror, and my smile grows, as well as my confidence. I flash him a playful wink and turn to face him. "So Taron, what do you think?" I ask, smirking at the fact that he looks like he can hardly talk. However, it doesn't take him long to come up with an answer.
He gets up and moves away from the bed, making his way towards me. He places a hand on my arm and stands next to me, looking at us both in the mirror as if we were posing for a photo. "It looks perfect. YOU look perfect" he says, his eyes still entranced by me. Lindy makes a fake coughing sound to grab our attention and we are snapped back into reality. While I stand there smiling at us both, he briskly removes his hand from my arm and adjusts his glasses on his face. I don't think too much of this behaviour, I shake it off as nerves. But it was much more than that.
