Are We The Villains? (PPG Book 1)

Back at the lair....

I flew back to Mojo's lair.

Boomer was playing with his stupid dog. Free Puppy was thankfully, back to it's normal size of barely taller than us. They looked up when I came in.

"What happened to your eye?"

I ignored his question.

"Butch has the Bio-ray."

"What!"

Butch landed.

Boomer yelled at him.

"How do you not mention that!"

Butch immediately realized what he was talking about and yelled back.

"It doesn't matter! What matters is we have it!"

Boomer grabbed it from him and smashed it to bits. Then he melted it into a molten pile of metal.

Butch took no time to say.

"And now no one has it. It's a win-win."

Boomer stared at him. Tears started to run down his face and he flew off.

"And now you broke Boomer."

Butch sighed.

It was nearly dark outside. I heard sirens approaching. Lots of sirens. Like the entire police force.

Free Puppy barked.

Me and Butch looked through the remnants of the wall.

"They're surrounding the mountain."

"No kidding."

We both flipped around to see a girl. Her face looked like Bubbles, but her demeanor screamed Buttercup.

"Bubbles is still Bio-rayed. Who are you?" Butch asked.

She looked surprised.

"Wait, you know I'm not Bubbles?"

I nodded. I didn't need to look to know Butch was nodding too.

"Wow, you are like the smartest boys that I have ever met."

It was sarcasm. But it said something about her.

She gestured for us to follow her. Then she took off in a pink blur. If you guessed by blur, your first instinct would be Blossom. But when you saw the girl who made the blur, and compared her blur to Blossom's, you would realize how wrong you were.

The girl's blur was a neon pink, which I guess said something about her personality, as she was definitely not wearing neon pink.

"We should follow her."

I stared at Butch. I would have thought he would have said we shouldn't follow her.

"Trust me Brick."

If my survival is in his hands I'm doomed.
