A SECOND CHANCE (BWWM)

"Damn it!" I shouted.

"What's wrong?" Yessli. asked over the phone.

We were FaceTiming for me to get ready for my date with Nathan that was mandatory and she couldn't come over because she went to her boyfriends house.

"I accidentally got makeup in my dress." I said as i proceeded to take it off.

"Just fine another one babes. It's not like Nathan is outside waiting for you." Yessli said.

"Yea easy for you to say. The fact you supposed to be helping me but you ditched me to be with your boyfriend."

"Girl. You know Tony is in the military and it'll be forever before i see him again. And i am helping."

I was about to say something when i heard a knock on my door. I looked at the time and it was 8:02.

Shit! I'm not even ready.g

"He's outside. I'm not even ready."

"Your fine just let him wait after all he was the one who came up with this last minute date. And you have a black dress that you haven't worn yet it's in the back in a grey and white box ."

"Ok."

I went to answer the door after putting on a robe.

"Wow. You are something Coco." Nathan said sounding surprise.

"Oh hush asshole. I'm not even finish getting ready. And in my defense you called a last minute date. Now sir and wait for 5 minutes til i'm  finish."I said as i walked back to my room pulling out the dress Yessli said i had stored back in the closet.

Once I finally got dressed I walked out to the living room where Nathan was relaxing watching tv.

"I see you made yourself at home." I joked.

He laughed. "Funny." he mumbled right before looking at me. "Wow. You look really amazing Coltin." he said as he licked his lips and smirked.

I tried my best not to blush.

"Thanks. So you ready to go?"

"Yes after you."

We left and headed to this fancy restaurant I heard so much about.

"Wow! I can't believe you were able to make a reservation. They're always booked."

"You've never been here before?" He asked looking at me shocked.

"Nope. I always wanted to come here but i had to work for the most part."I told him as i started to look threw the menu.

"Hm."

"Good Evening Mr. Vinci, are we having the regular tonight?"The waitress asked.

"Yes."

"And you ma'am?"

"I'll have the filet mignon with asparagus and rice. And for my drink i'll have the Sangiovese wine."

She took the menus and disappeared.

I continued to look around this beautiful restaurant when i felt eyes looking at me. I turned to see Nathan staring at me like im his favorite dessert.

"Take a picture i'll last longer." I joked.

He laughed.

"You became funny over the years. How's your mom?"

"She's doing ok. She still lives back home. Retired."

"Oh that's good."

We talked some more before our food came out. I was so hungry and i couldn't wait to dig in. I cut a nice piece of steak and proceeded to take a bit and when i say it so perfect I believed i moaned a little at how good it was.

"It must be really good." Nathan said as he drunk some of his beer.

I laughed. "Sorry."

I looked over at his plate and saw he had some kind of steak with sauce that looked really good better than mine actually.

"Would you like some?" He asked smiling.

"No." I said knowing damn well i do.

"Yes you do. Open up." He said as he leaned forward with a fork of his food.

Before I could even say no he got up and moved his chair next to me.

"Don't say anything and open wide." He said as we both just stared into each others eyes.

I smiled and finally gave in and took a bite of the delicious steak. It was so moist and juicy. I was in love. Until i realized eyes were watching me.

"What?"

He laughed. "You really have a thing for good food. Somethings never changed." He smiled and moved back over after he whispered in my ear that i was moaning with food again.

I was so embarrassed. Just fucking burry me.

"I'm so sorry. Don't blame me, blame the food."

"Oh. Your good bear. Don't worry about them. At least we know someone was here for the food and not for a show." Nathaniel said kind of loud because more people were starting to stare at us. Especially me.

At this point i really just wanted to leave. I guess Nathan saw i was getting frustrated and demanded that our waitress bag our food and send the check in within two minutes.

I've never seen so many people rush to do something so simple. I kinda enjoyed the struggle and the tension that Nathan gave them. Almost a turn on.

Once we were inside the limo, Nathan quickly grabbed my face and kissed me. It caught me off guard, but instead of pushing him away i pushed him closer. This lasted another minute before i realized what was happening.

This couldn't happen. We just became friends again. Plus he's engaged.

"I'm sorry. I don't know what just happened."

"No. I'm sorry." I said as I sat back. This night couldn't get any worse.

Started to say something when he interrupted.

"Oh you first." He said with a chuckle.

"Can you just take me home please." I said as he instructed the limo driver to do so.

Once we were at my apartment, Nathan decided to walk me to my door.

"So um, Are we cool?" Nathan asked as he now looked kind of nervous.

"Yes. And i'm sorry for kissing you. Let's just forget it ever happened, agreed?"

H e looked at me and paused for a second like he wanted to change my thought but he just agreed and told me good night after i got in.

I took a deep breath that i was holding and threw the food in the fridge.

I couldn't believe I kissed Nathan. Not only once but twice. I really hate myself right now. How can i be so stupid. He's a married man. We're friends. This can't keep happening. I screamed out loud before getting in the shower. I took some benadryl right before going to bed. Hopefully i'll forget about everything in the morning.

I mean it couldn't be that bad.
