"Orders?" I glanced at the two girls occupying the table just beside the other table I first went to.

Tiningala ako ng nakasuot ng hoodie. "May mas mura pa po bang drinks?"

"Luca." "Two White Choco Mocha. Large and cold."

I furrowed one brow up, observing their behaviour towards me. Parang may binabalak sila. Say I'm presuming but I definitely find it obvious from how they act. Pushing aside that observance, my head tilted towards the other way the same time the sound of chime resonated throughout the cafe, signaling new customers. My attention immediately narrowed to them.

"Ram," walang ganang tawag ko. He isn't busy or anything. He's simply standing beside the counter as he looks around.

He turned to me languidly, both his eyebrows raised. "Nandoon na ang grupo nila Ember."

"Pwedeng... ikaw na muna ulit," sabi ko. Tiningnan niya muna ako bago siya tumango.

"Sige.

Everyone on the table was laughing politely while Camilla took pictures of them.

Ram was back again in Ember's table, this time, serving them their orders. They turned to me and smiled while I wasn't sure if it was a smile I returned because bitterness was making itself known as thoughts of how unfair it is to me consumed my mind. Just two years ago, I became eager for money. This eagerness impelled me to gain cash in my own way despite my father's millions. It was when I began to pity myself when somebody would give me money.

But now, although I am still up for having an income, I suddenly want to leave this job. And I know why. I just refuse to make it my reason.

"Uy," Ram's deep voice. "Mukhang ibang timpla mo ngayon, Farizah."

"Huh? Ano bang timpla ko today? Walang sugar?" I joked with a grin.

Umiling siya at pinaikot ang mga mata. "Nabanggit ka nila."

"Hmm..." trying to sound like I'm not interested.

It only changed last year, too, weeks after my application was approved. Every time they would drop by, I asked favors from either Kendric or Ram to take my place. Sometimes, if these two are occupied, I would approach the other workers.
