Chapter 9

Narrator POV

“Ah Thomas you're just in time.” said Clarissa. He looked up at his mother who was talking to Vanessa's mum and dad. “Yes, where did you go?” asked Thompson. “Oh, well I went back to the mansion for the restroom.” said Tommy. “Oh, ok.” said Thompson while taking a sip of his wine. “Also Thomas you should go to Vanessa now, the dance would be starting soon.” said Sebastian. “Ah, yes sir. I'll go there.” said Tommy. “There's no need to be so formal all the time Tom, you can just call us Sebastian and Melissa, or you could be like Vanessa and call us uncle and aunt.” said Melissa. “Right, sorry.” said Tommy. “Oh, it's fine, just go to the dance with Vanessa.” said Melissa. “Right.” said Tommy while going towards where Vanessa was standing. “Vanessa the dance is about to start.” said Tommy. “Ah yes, we'll go and dance when the music starts.” said Vanessa, smiling. They just continued talking and then suddenly the music changed to the dancing music. “Shall we dance now m'lady?” asked Tommy while bowing and placing a hand out for Vanessa to take. “We shall.” said Vanessa. She took Tommy's hand and they headed to the centre of the ballroom and started dancing, they were soon joined by their parents, their friends and many other guests. “I wasn't informed that we needed to have a date to the party.” said Will. “Well it is more of a ball and a gala so I would think it would be obvious for us to have someone to ask for a dance.” said Ranboo. “Right, Niki do you wanna dance with me?” asked Wilbur. “Sure Will.” said Niki and they went to dance. “Oh Georgie~ Do you wanna dance.” asked Dream. George heavily sighed and said “Fine Dream.” said George. “Oh wow, I guess Dnf is real.” said Tubbo. “We need to get them a room before they start eating each others faces off.” giggled Quackity. “Right, Karl, Quackity?” asked Sapnap. “Right.” said Karl and Quackity in unison. “Right should we dance too Ranboo?” asked Tubbo. “Sure!” said Ranboo and so they headed out too. “I guess we could dance.” said Ponk while looking over to Sam. “Hm, sure why not.” said Sam. They headed out. “Why didn't I bring Kristen?” sighed Philza. “It's fine Phil, both of us are without partners.” said Techno. “I guess.” replied Phil. “Let's go Bad.” whined Skeppy. “Sure.” said Bad. Now Antfrost and Red Velvet went out to dance. Now the only people left were Hannah, Puffy, Purpled, Foolish, Charlie, Punz, Eret, Hbomb, Fundy, Schlatt, Connor, Callahan, Techno, Phil, Dan, Vikk, Jimmy and Felix. “I guess we just stay here then.” said Schlatt. “I suppose.” said Eret. “You know I just noticed, Tommy is a great dancer.” said Dan. “Yeah he is, isn't he?” Said Eret. “And now I feel belittled.” said Schlatt, pouting. “How on earth was that belittling?” asked Charlie. “Well it is belittling to know that someone so much younger than you is much more classed and is much more better than you at dancing.” said Schlatt. “Of course, of course.” said Phil, laughing. “Don't laugh old man.” said Schlatt. “I'm not old Schlatt!” said Phil. “Dude you are like a decade older than him.” said Purpled. “Right- well- I- nevermind.” Phil stuttered while trying to defend himself in which he failed miserably. “Now, can we talk about how good this wine is? It's honestly the best I've ever drunk.” said Jimmy. “I would've thought that you would've drunk like a good flake wine and that was the best one.” Said Vikk. “You know everything I have isn't with gold, right?” asked Jimmy. “Right, right of course.” said Vikk. “Ok?” said said Jimmy, quite sceptical of Vikk's response. “Right so about the Dnf situation.” started Puffy. “Well let's see the ships here would be Dnf, skephalo, and karlnapity those are the only ones that aren't official yet.” said Eret. (I don't ship Wilbur and Niki since they have expressed their inconvenience with the ship, they are just friends and I hope that you can respect that.) “I really think we should provide those 7 with like three rooms, so that they can you know be closer.” said Hbomb with a devilish grin. “You dirty minded little pervert.” said Fundy. “Master don't be like that~.” said Hbomb with a really perverty looking face. (I don't know whether that's a word or not, but since I just wrote it, it is a word now.) “Is there like something going on between them?” asked Felix. “No, no it's more of an inside joke. Hbomb acts like Fundy's maid and it annoys Fundy and stuff.” explained Foolish to Felix. “Oh I remember when that happened to you Foolish, that was the best.” laughed Hannah while saying the sentence. “Right and he was his maid because he stole a gold ingot from Fundy.” said Charlie. “What?” asked Jimmy, quite confused. “Again an inside joke, you wouldn't get it.” said Hannah. “Right.” said Felix. “So do we just watch or?” asked Charlie. “Just drink right now, they'll cut the cake right after the dance.” said Jimmy. “Ok then, we'll just watch the others have fun dancing.” said Schlatt. “Right.” said Vik. “You know your friends look quite weird to say the least.” said Vanessa while dancing with Tommy. “What do you mean?” asked Tommy. “They look quite lonely, I mean like the ones who are not dancing.” said Vanessa. “Hm maybe, I don't know, they'll probably go back to normal during the cake cutting.” said Tommy. “Hm, I suppose. Anyways when will the dance get over? Because it's so boring.” said Vanessa. “I know right? Anyways it will be over in like 2 minutes.” said Tommy. “Ok.” said Vanessa. “You know Tommy and Vanessa look so happy.” said Will. “I know.” said Niki. “Dnf, skephalo and karlnapity.” said Wilbur giggling. “Right, they should have their own rooms you know. I think they'd enjoy it.” said Wilbur. “Wilbur you're so dirty minded.” said Niki, laughing. “What can I do? It's just so nice to see them dancing together.” said Wilbur, smiling. Niki laughed at that. “Right, right. You are right though.” said Niki. After a while the music stopped and started playing the music which was playing earlier, signalling it was time for the cake cutting. The people dispersed to the sides leaving only Tommy, Vanessa and their parents in the centre. The cake was brought in shortly, it was a huge 4 layered cake with a 18 number candle at the top. The cake was aternated with white and yellow, on one layer it was white and on top of that layer is a yellow coloured layer. It was decorated with golden beads and circles. On the top layer was the candle around it were golden roses on the top layer. There were white and gold roses going spiraling up from the bottom to the top of the cake. Overall it was a big and beautiful cake. There were pictures being taken by photographers all around and soon the music changed to a happy birthday music. They all started singing happy birthday and Tommy and Vanessa blew out the candles. They all clapped at the two becoming adults now. They both took a slice of the cake and gave each other the slices to eat. They gave their parents bits of the cake to eat as well and they all were giggling and laughing. They looked so happy. The photographers were still taking pictures of the two happy families.

The others soon dispersed and sat on the chairs and tables. Everyone was given plates and were required to take food to their own accord. Tommy, Vanessa and their parents were sat on the table which was in the centre. Even though both Tommy and Vanessa soon got up from the table to go sit with their friends. Tommy went to the YouTubers and Streamers while Vanessa went to her girl friends which were also quite rich. The main course was basically like chicken, pork, fish, beef, shrimp, prons and soup. The appetizers had mocktails and cocktails, it also had chips along with some vegetable and fruit bites. The main course was accompanied with salads and then there was cheese pasta and spaghetti and was followed by the cake along with pies. The YouTubers and streamers were sitting on a huge table in the corner. “Right, does anyone know which utensils to use?” asked Tubbo. “The fork on the far left and the knife nearest to you on the right is used for the salad. Use that first to eat the salad. The middle fork and the last knife are the ones to use while eating fish. The fork nearest to you and the middle knife is used for the main dinner or meal. The spoon next to the fish knife is the soup spoon. The spoon next to the soup spoon is the one to use for teas if you will drink a cup of tea. The spoon and fork on top of the plates is the ones for the dessert. The plate near the three others is used for the dessert in this case and the knife on top of it is usually used for spreading butter on bread but you could use this knife for the cake if needed. The fork right next to the spoons would be used for the sea food. The largest plate is the service or meal plate. The one upon it is the soup bowl and one on top of it is the salad plate. Then the glasses depend on what you would be drinking. It actually really depends on if you are drinking red wine, white wine, champagne, water or sherry.” finished Tommy. “Right, that doesn't narrow it down, what do I eat first?” asked Tubbo. “Yeah so, start with the appetizers like the shrimps or prons, then the salads, after that start eating the main course along with the soup if you want to drink some. Then you can have the cheese pasta or spaghetti. After that have your dessert.” said Tommy. “Ok.” said Tubbo. “You know a lot about this don't you?” said Jimmy. “Well yeah, I was taught to learn all the proper dining etiquettes when I was 2 or 3. It was required for me to learn those since we were expected to act perfect during our business dinners or just casual dinners.” said Tommy while starting to eat his salad. “Right.” said Jimmy. “Your childhood and parents seems quite strict.” said Dream. “They are, but it doesn't bother me.” said Tommy. “Right.” replied Dream. “You know the food is quite good.” said George, trying to calm down the tension. “Yeah, we got one of the best chefs in the world to cook the meal.” said Tommy. “Oh, that's great!” said Ranboo. “Yeah I guess.” said Tommy. “So, do you have a library here?” asked Techno. “Of course that's what you ask about.” said Wilbur. A small laugh escaped Tommy's lips. “We do, it's quite big.” said Tommy. “Really?!” said Techno changing his usual monotone voice to a more excited one. “I can show it to you after the party if you'd like.” said Tommy. “Sure, I'd like it.” said Techno. “What kind of books do you read Tommy?”  asked Jimmy, he expected him to answer a fiction book or something but instead he was told that he liked classics and business novels. Jimmy was taken back a bit by the answer but regained his composure soon. “Really now, who are your favourite writers.” asked Jimmy. “Jane Austen, Shakespeare, Agatha Christie but I don't really have favourite businesses writers” said Tommy. “Nice.” replied Jimmy. “Anyone can access the library, just don't damage anything. It's the entire fourth floor.” said Tommy. “That's quite big, considering one of your floors is huge.” said Dan. “Yeah.” replied Tommy. “You know you act really different in person, I mean your online persona is so joyful and loud, while you here are so quite and disciplined.” said Wilbur. “Yeah, I get that a lot. But we all act differently with our audiences don't we?” said Tommy. “I guess.” replied Wilbur. They continued talking till everyone was finished with their food, and so the plates were taken away, soon enough everyone headed back after the party. The only ones who were invited to stay at the mansion longer were the streamers, YouTubers and Vanessa. They headed back to the mansion and were shown to their rooms. Tommy headed to the library where he usually was during the nights and the days. It was usually just him in the mansion so he developed a habit of staying in the library, only coming out to grab food or drinks. He usually sat on the floor in front of the bookshelf containing the books he was reading, don't get me wrong the library had plenty of tables and chairs but Tommy just preferred the floor. So today was no different, he was sitting in front a bookshelf on the floor. The only difference was that today he wasn't alone in the library, just down the hall was Techno sitting on a chair, reading a book. They both stayed there the whole night not speaking even a word. It was silent...way too silent...
