Lokis POV

"I'm truly glad that at least Odin could get through to her since I couldn't. " I kept thinking as I rummaged through what little belongings were. After a few moments, I had come across some of my favorite books that mother had given me. I picked up my most favorite which was Midgards 'Shakespeare sonnets'. I hadn't read it since before I went to earth. Flipping through the pages curiously I went to my most loved sonnet "when in disgrace  with fortune and men's eyes' ". Finally reaching that page was a letter tucked in between the pages. Quickly opening it, I began to scan my eyes over the words. "Mother..." I whispered. The letter had read "my dearest Loki, although you know you are not my son my birth, you are my son by love. Since the moment I held you, you were mine to bare. I love you more than anything and you are worthy of being loved. I know you believed for the longest time and still might believe you're monster, but you, my son, are just like everyone else. Your heart beats like mine, we bleed the same, you love like I, you hurt like I do too. Does that not make you a regular, caring being? Capable of sharing your love with another? I never once thought of you as any less than my son and Thor never thought of you as any less than his brother. Adopted or not. Thor saw you as his loving brother, number one in his heart. Loki, please do not let life make you cold and heartless. You have so much love to give and I'm thankful to have had some of your love. I love you. " it was signed "your mother" at the bottom. I felt my eyes swell up slightly as I held the letter tightly to my chest "always trying to make me feel love, even in death mother." I chuckled, folding the paper and placing it back into the book. A half hour had passed and I was finally finished with the rest of my stuff. "I should check on (Y/N) to make sure everything is okay". As I made my way towards her room something felt wrong. I ran quickly to her room and attempted to open the door but it was locked "(Y/N)!!" I yelled frantically as more attempts were made to force the door. It finally opened to her asleep on the bed and the guards all asleep as well "what..." Were the only words I could manage.
