Smothered emotions.

"Howdy! What's with the long face?" Baji said as he wraps his arms around you. You didn't even bother looking at him; you just shrugged.

"Nothing." Your response is sufficient enough for him to conclude you are upset. Which isn't entirely incorrect.

He stepped in front of you, blocking your path. You came to a halt and fixed your gaze on him.

"What's with you?"

The venomous grin has returned to his face. "You're upset, what exactly happened?"

He is not oblivious. He is always on the qui vive. The expression you make, even if you try put a mask to cover it up, he will notice. The body language. The way you bite your lips when something dismaying occurs. When you play with your pen whenever you feel pressured to do something. Tilting your head sideways you find something confusing. He knows it all.

He even joked about having a guide book about understanding your character.

"I'm just thinking.." There goes the anxious biting of your lips. Noticing it, he quickly takes your hand in his.

"Is it that deep? Your thoughts appear to be in another universe." He joked.

"Am I being overly nice, Keisuke?" You scoot over closer, your gaze fixed on his. He gulped. "Perhaps? You dated me."

You scoff. "Then why don't the gods give me a fucking break? I'm so tired, goodness. But, I know there are other people who-

He may likes it when you curse, but he hates it when you compare your situation to somebody else. A sudden kiss in your hand caught you off guard. "Don't." He says.

"Stop thinking of other people when you feel that way. You are tired? that's okay. You don't need to compare your situation with other people. Do not suppress your feelings. You're mad? No need to keep that to yourself. Punch random people."

You almost laughed. "What? I almost believe that this will be a normal advice from you."

"It's a good advice!" He said pointedly.

"I'm not like you, I don't punch people."

"Then be like me!"

"Absolutely no."

"The fuck you're saying?" Was the words that escape Baji's mouth. Chifuyu revealed his ideas with Baji's action. He's moving by himself. Making Chifuyu feel that he is obligated to help his captain, even without any command.

However, it was totally repudiated by Baji. Disclosing to Chifuyu that he misunderstood the thought. He's a foe now. At this point in time, he's a member of Valhalla. Toman's enemy.

"I also refuse to believe the reason why you guys have broken up." Chifuyu finally said it. The last card he stowed away at his pocket. Presumably the way to stop this whole acting already.

Baji was obviously shaken from Chifuyu's statement. How did he ever run over to that idea?

"Who are you to question my choices?" Baji said with a harsh look.

You immediately opened the door in the wake of seeing a recognizable figure. You were sure that it was no other than, Chifuyu. By his side, there's a boy with blonde hair strike up in a certain direction. He must be a member of Toman, too.

"What brings you here, Chifuyu?"

He looks impatient. His feet taping against the cold ground, trying to find the right words to say to you. You tilted your head.

"I talked to Baji-san today." He started. Your eyebrows raised. Hearing his name makes your stomach hurt and your hands cold. It just started this morning. The manner in which your body responds at whatever point you feel, see or smell whatever helps you to remember Baji. You abhorred it.

Inquisitively, you inquired. "What about him?"

"I'm still convinced that what he was doing is just part of his plan. Y/N-san.." He paused, "The brawl will be held tomorrow, in the big abandoned car lot. I will not lose my hope. I can assure you, we will get him back." Chifuyu's voice sounded so eager. But it's not like you needed to know such information. You are not a member of their gang. You have no plans of stoping Baji, too.

You smiled at him. A forced one.

"Chifuyu, have I told you already?"

"I couldn't care less what he's up to. We split apart which is as it should be. I like your thoughtfulness and your emphaticness, yet it's better to do it for your gang not for me."

"I'm no longer part of his life, Chifuyu. We need to understand that."

He had no problem leaving, you thought. You tried to cut the strings, everything that connects to them but ended up tying them again. It was very stupid of you to think he will have a change of mind. He didn't, he stand firm with his choice. While you, you can't do everything except counterfeit your bliss. Pretend everything seems fine but, you were dying internally.

Last night, you dreamed of him. You were on your knees begging him to say "I love you" even if it was a lie. You could've stopped him yet, again you didn't. What else you can do to someone who has no longer feelings for you?

Petty fights? We can solve that. However, falling out of love doesn't appear to have a solution.

Now you realized it. Even if you beg on your knees, try to remind him of the days you were so in love, his feelings won't return.

You were crying again.

You are becoming what you loathe. Fake and pretentious. Someone who can't stand for themselves. A person who invalidates their own feeling forsake of others.

A veil is covering your face again.

On the other side, he was wide awake too. A big event is coming. It's around the corner. The doubts, anticipation, and random thoughts filled up in his mind. He can't put himself to sleep.

He raised his clench hand. The picture of Chifuyu bleeding, almost unconscious laying on the cold marble floor. The day you walked away out from his sight. Two scenes that continues to play at the rear of his head. He was the reason for your torment, similarly behind Chifuyu's wounds. He hates liars, but he's becoming one. How ridiculous how he lied about losing feelings for you. That is something impossible.

He frustratedly sigh.

Grabbing a paper and a pen, he composed all that he was unable to say. Everything. Because he probably won't have the chance to see you any longer after this.

Hoping you will notice his heart, still reaching out and beating for you.
