Cut off.

Keisuke Baji is one of your classmates from 4 subjects. He is no stranger, but he is also not close as a friend. You can't even call it friendship since he will just talk to you to ask for an assignment or ask a question for a test. He even asks you random questions when he's bored at class. For others, he's noticable because of how weird he looks-that's what your friend said, but for you, it looks quite normal. He always had his hair always tied and it was silky, which looks neat for you. That's why you were slightly surprised to see his hair down, tie slightly loose and his blazer folded neatly on his arms. He's not wearing his square shaped glasses either.
"You like cats?" He asked as he walked behind you. "Yeah, I do."
You are on your way to your house, with him. Since, he asked you to tutor him the past lesson since he couldn't catch up. You tried to give him a copy of your notes but he told you that it didn't work for him. "I tried reading it over and over again, yet nothing comes to my mind," he said.
"Please get comfortable. I'll get some snacks from the kitchen." You said as you left him inside your room.
That's when his playful eyes wonder around your room. Your room is quite huge. The walls are pleasing to the eyes, likewise the decorations. But something is missing....
"Hey, where is your cat?" He asked when you sat down beside him with snacks in your hands. "I don't have one."
"Huh?" You look at him subsequent to hearing his reaction. "What's with that response?"
"You said you like cats... so where are the cats?"
"I do like cats, but my mom won't let me adopt one." You explained to him.
A cheeky smile was plastered on his face as you gazed over him. "Want me to sneak one into your room?"
"My mom-
"I couldn't care less," he stopped and feigned exacerbation. "You are adequately big enough to deal with one, so I'll give you a feline!" The hint of enthusiasm in his voice lights up the atmosphere. Wow, he's so excited about it.
"Alright."
"Do you want the cat from the school? The one you always feed during lunch break?"
"How did you know that?!"
Meow. Your cat answered your silly question.
"I do miss him too, Yin." You said, petting his head. Yin is a cat with black fur and green eyes. He was the cat from your school that Baji managed to sneak inside your house.
His fangs and the color of his fur help you such a great amount to remember Baji, you can't resist the urge to feel miserable. The cat put his paw on your cheek as he saw tears streaming down your face.
God, why is it so hard to accept?
"I miss him, Yin."
