"So lemme get this straight, she invited you to her house? Where her father is." Seb concluded.
"Well not invited, but it's more like I've been hired as her chaperone." I corrected him.
"Ronald... why is your Godchild so dumb?" Seb slapped his head.
"Hey-"
"That's all from his father, not my fault." Ronald interrupted me, and supported Seb! That's the second time he took Seb's side.
"Look-"
"I'm sorry bruv... but you're dumb." Shawn the 'teenager' spoke.
"Ok now first off! Stop interrupting me! Second-"
"You're literally getting a free pass into the lion's den! How dumb are you?!" Even after my warnings, Ronald interrupted me.
"I know it's the greatest opportunity. But how will me being her, whatever it is, get me closer to her father?"
"Rumi dear, How could you be that naïve!!!" Seb scolded.
"It's right in front of you, like even a 3 year old can get it, right Shawn." Ronald added.
"Yeah... yeah... You're dumb!" I know he was just following the flock, I'll get you back Shawn the sheep! Don't you think you're safe!
"So Shawn..." I looked at him, "What exactly do you want me to do?" I smirked.
Ronald and Seb scoffed as they looked towards Shawn.
"Huh... it;s so easy Rumi," He looked at Ronald. "I'm not good at the explanation, please contact Ronald for further instructions!" He bowed and returned to attend to the files in front of the olive green sofa.
"Ok Ronald what is it? Hit me." I turned towards Ronald and smirked.
"Stop smirking!" He slapped me on my cheeks, "And why should I be the one to tell you the most obvious thing? Seb," He looked towards Seb who was chilling on the white bean bag. "Tell him." Ronald finished and sat back on the sofa next to Shawn.
"So... the thing is," Seb started, "we have no freakin clue how it's gonna help us, but rest assured! It will help us someday... Mark my words!" Seb gulped.
For a minute I was just standing there and looking at their pathetic faces.
"So... who were the ones who called me dumb?" I rubbed my hands.
"Seb!" Ronald shouted, and Shawn just silently pointed towards Seb.
"Y'all are dead." In a matter of seconds they left their comfy chairs, and scattered in different directions. The other two didn't matter, I only wanted one.
"Seb, you mother..." I shouted as I darted towards him.
My failed attempts at catching him were applauded by the doorbell. Which gave me an opening to jump on him and land one or two punches, before we were interrupted by Shawn.
"There's someone here to see you, Sebastien.'' I'll never get Shawn. Sometimes he's as serious as a lieutenant, and other times he's a total clown. But him having a knife in his hand, was quite intimidating.
"Ok... could you, for the love of God, please leave me now!" Seb pleaded.
I accompanied him to the front door, where I saw someone I thought I'd never see again.
"Grace!" Seb squealed. "What... how did you know..."
The blonde girl with bangs Seb was dating, let herself in, and sat herself on the olive green sofa.
"I knew no matter how much I'd persuade you. You'd still go with Rumi wherever he went." She started. "So I followed you here... tell me about it. What are we going to do here?"
I knew one thing, no matter how funny and humorous Shawn was, he'd never let anyone ruin the 'Plan'.
"Miss... how exactly do you know about this? Tell me who has sent you here!" Shawn widened his eyes and pointed the knife towards her. "It was Griezmann wasn't it! That bastard always knows when something is not right." I still am not quite sure what Griezmann did to him, but he sure looked pissed.
"Umm sir... I don't know what you're talking about." She gulped. "But Emma told me that Rumi and Seb were in New York-"
"Emma?" Shawn interrupted and was suspiciously looking towards us.
"She's a friend of mine and Aliza's, Seb you've met her haven't you,,," Grace looked towards Seb for help.
"Shawn... " Seb moved closer towards Shawn, and unknowingly Shawn almost thrusted the knife in Seb's abdomen.
"Ok... That's it! Gimme the knife." I carefully snatched the butter Knife off of his hand.
"Emma is their friend,,, and I was the one who told Aliza where we were. Sorry sir!" Seb bowed his head, and sat back on the sofa, his eyes were blank from the shock.
"Shawn, why don't you bring our guest something to drink, and eat?" I suggested.
"No Rumi! I think I'll be safer if nothing goes in my stomach, thank you though sir." She answered gracefully, and bowed her head.
"So grace... How was your trip from Dakota to here?" I tried to lighten the mood. "You traveled aight?"
"Until now I was safe. Now I think I was much safer back in Dakota." She leaned on Seb.
"I wanna go home!" Seb's eyes were still blank when he said this.
"The trip was fun, because Emma was with me the whole time... So I didn't feel lonely." She looked at Seb.
"I don't wanna stay here anymore!" Seb cried.
"What is Emma doing here? You Know what... it must be really tiring right?" I looked at her poor dull face. "Why don't you sleep in Seb's room. I'll get the bath ready in the meantime." Both her and Seb's face lit up.
"Don't get your hopes up, You're sleeping in my room!" I announced as I saw his bright face turning back into the dull, and blank face as before.
"I'm taking the next flight out of here!" Seb shouted and kicked the ground with his feet.
"Aww you kiddo..." Grace clutched his jaw and kissed him. "You still wanna go back to Dakota?" Grace asked Seb.
"Wha.... where... Dakota?" Seb blushed.
"Aight! Please no more of this cringey stuff in front of singles!" I ordered them. "Aight blonde bangs, go to your room!"
"I don't even have bangs now! Shuttup!" Grace objected.
"Do you think I care? And where are you going? Over here mister red tomato!" I grabbed Seb from his ear and dragged him to my room. They should really be kept apart for the time being.
